Title: New Venox Owner, mod questions...
Description: Free and lo/no cost mods for Venox

theikeman - June 3, 2008 04:57 AM (GMT)
I just bought an 05 Venox with 885 miles and am ready to tweak.

Can someone tell me how to do a baffle mod?

Airfilter box mod?

easy way to replace standard plugs with Iridiums?

How to remove the tank badges and letters from rear of seat

Thanks in advance

Would also like to do the sprocket mod, is it really necessary to replace the chain?

:old: Well the first and best mod to do would be the 43 tooth rear sprocket, Fifth gear on them is a true OD and it will let the bike pull in fifth gear and not need so much attention going down Highway. I just posted a topic in Venox groups on how to do the baffles. Plugs I just use NGK's did not got to iridium. air filter I talked to some guys about jetting and air filter mods a few years ago and it is not really worth it. jets are hard to come by the carbs are best left alone not really friendly to in and out stuff. when they jetted them the drilled 3 7/8 dia. holes in breather door. THat work was all checked on a dyno and was good just a lot of trouble. CBX man sells pipe made by one of our members that does as good and doent have to be rejetted. Your chain might be streched enough with that low miles on it. I never messed around taking off Badges and names, I am kind of around a shop a lot and it would not be good for them.

We moved your first post/topic to the INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE board and left a link where you posted it for two reasons.

One, to give better exposure to your questions.
Two, we ask all new members to post their first topic here as it makes for a more freindly place if we all get to know each other first.

Tell use a little more as to ''who-what-where-why'' about you and your bike and I'm sure you will get more helpful responces, links to previous topics, etc.

Thanks

PHOTOS

How about posting your bike photos in our on site Photobucket PHOTO GALLERY ?

If there is not a sub album already there, go ahead and add one with as many sub albums as you wish. Tag the pics with as many tags as you want to help tell a story with the pic. , it will also be picked up when anyone searches photobucket for that tag. Great way to advertise your bike, the brand and PIWYR !

There are some ''how to'' topics and login links at the top there.

THEN request your own personal MEMBER GALLERY/FORUM and we can set up a topper slideshow where you can add more pics to it as you have them. We can then also add this link to each of your posts.user posted image which will take everyone straight to your own personal MEMBER GALLERY/FORUM where YOU control the topics and whats in them. Its your own personal space.

To set the last one up you will also need to join the PIWYRfeatures Forum to post in and to view your own personal forum.

That is more of a sound mod, a true low cost performance mod is the exhaust from CBXMAN Motorcycles that pops pointed out.

Airfilter box mod?

Not worth the extreme trouble as pops has said.

Its just not easy period to get to both plugs with out taking off the gas tank
