Title: MS3-250
Description: Discussion about new MS3-250 Scooter

jcschultz - May 28, 2008 10:46 PM (GMT)
I am thinking about getting a 250cc scooter and was looking at the Kymco People S250, then I saw a MS3-250. If the quality and reliability were the same, the MS3 seems to have many more beneficial features. Does anyone have opinions about the two? I live in central Florida and would be able to commute year round to work (about 8 miles each way, 50-55 mph most of the way.) Any help or experiences would be welcome.

Thanks,

Hi...

Have never owned a Hyosung scooter but do know the high quality of the Kymcos.
Have owned 4 different ones the last 5 years (still have 3 super9's)

Let me look into the Hyo model you are referring to, though I do know the peoples250 is a pretty unique styling.

With out looking at the specs the Hyo has a more definite 'MAXI' style scooter look more like the Kymco EXCITING 250.

One of our members tony_dt just took a long trip on the EXCITING 250.
The write up is on his sub board in the RIDE DAYS forum/section.

How do the costs compare ?
And have you check out the different dealers for each product ?
This is key as the follow up at a dealer can make or break your final decision on how much you end up liking what you choose.

Also what is your riding experiance....

hmmm, seems Hyo like to make their 250's look like bigger bikes even when they are scooters  Kymco looks a little more "retro"

obxbiker - May 29, 2008 01:12 PM (GMT)
just the 'people' series is retro.

The EXCITING 250 is the bigger looking MAXI-SCOOTER look which also comes in a 500cc version. That is the one that it looks like the Hyo copied.

Still can't get my head around the fact they make a 500cc scooter.

:wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:

Not the fact they make a scooter........ just that it's 2 x size of my GV. :hahaha: :hahaha:

Well then think about this...

they came out with a 700cc this year !! as their 'flagship' model.

just keeping ahead of the Jap maxi's:

Suzuki Burgman 650cc (well, 638cc if we are being honest)
Yamaha T-Max 500cc (well, 499cc is pretty damn close)
Honda Silerwing 600cc (well, 582cc anyway)
