Title: ECC for GV 250
Description: European Conformance Certificate

Hi,

I would like to take my GV 250 from Australia ( I baught it here last year ) to Germany. All I could find so far in the WEB is that you need an ECC ( European Conformance Certificate ) and it should not be a problem.

Now I am wondering where and how I can get this certificate for my bike. Does anybody know if they sell the identical bike all over the world or are there issues with parts beeing different for different country versions ? Hysong don't sell may bikes in Germany and I did not find a lot of in formation on German pages.

Please help, I like my Aquila and want to take it with me.

I would say the easiest and cheapest option would be to sell your bike here and buy a new one over there. Once you did get it to Germany I would imagine that you would then have to have it complianced over there, even if they already import the GV250 over there. As your bike was imported into Australia, it was imported specifically to comply with our ADR's, not their design rules.I am pretty sure this would be the case, but I have been know to be wrong though....

Parts wise, I doubt you would have a problem. You have the whole of Europe to source your parts, and Richard Jordon is only an email away.

I just did some surfing on the internet. It's not specific to Germany but rather the UK. Could be similar. This is what I found:

"The UK does not offer a temporary registration for OS bikes and an AU spec bike won’t comply with UK regulations, therefore you can’t get full registration, either"

You may want to check out this link: www.dotars.gov.au

Hope this helps

I have to agree with Homer, I think it would alot easier to sell here and buy another in the UK which would be able to be ECC compliant.

Here are a couple of links which may help.

How did you go with the E.C.Certificate? :okthumb: or

No success. Hyosung does not answer my emails.

But I found out that you can get it tested for reasonable money and get it registered if they don't find any problems. I just don't know if there would be any problems. I guess they sell the same bike over there and it should not be a problem. I might need to cahnge back to the original exhaust.

I think I will try that. There should be plenty of room in the container.

would be best to have it 'original equipment' and since its sold there I do not see what the problem would be...
