Description: Riding here in the North on a Venox...

jtp_ride - April 4, 2008 07:25 AM (GMT)
Hello folks!

Just to say Hi! and to introduce shortly myself.
Living here in the south coast of Finland in city of Espoo, neighbouring Helsinki which is the capital of Finland.

Spring has started, which can be seen in traffic. Bikes are back! We had rather warm winter and very little snow in the south. Therefore some were driving over the winter, which is rather unusual here.

Motorcycling is quite popular nowadays in Finland. The number of bikes has increased steadily during last last years about 10% annually. We have around 190 000 bikes in traffic in Finland today.

I ride Kymco Venox 250cc from year 2004. Color is metallic gray. I like the bike since I like cruising rather than aggressively speeding and accelerating. Enough power for a 43 years old fellow. Highest speed limits are 120 kph here, so Venox has no problem with that.

And Do I know how many Venox's are in Finland ?

Frankly.....no info available.....probably a couple hundred.....most bikes fall under the big four. Also Harley's are quite popular today

Which GIVI model windshield is that ?

Spann backrest/sissybar and engine guards ?

Have you found any other acc. manufactors for the Venox ?

Was the Honda Magna 250 ever carried there ?

:old: :welcomespin: Glad another Venox owner is onboard, those Hyo owners from some southern countrie have been ganging up on us Venox riders. I think they are jealous.

The GIVI shield is an universal type, but I have not more precise model info.

The engine guards and backrest were installed by the earlier owner, so unfortunately manufacturer is unknown.

In general, it is hard to find accessories for Venox. Universal custom and tuning parts are available but no Venox-parts. Have to look from the web-pages.

Honda Magna's are here with bigger engines. I have not seen any Magna's with 250cc engine.

I am at the moment customizing a Faze tacho (125 mm = 5 inch diameter) to fit in Venox. It will get a handmade chrome cup/cover. More about this (pics etc) later.

Does your backrest look just like this ?

CLUBVENOX ''HOW TO'' BACKREST

{I'm a member here even though I do not speak or read Spainish)

We use to have the SPAAN products imported here by the USA distributor but they stopped...now there is nothing offered.

obxbiker - April 4, 2008 05:18 PM (GMT)
We too have the larger Honda Magna's, but never the 250....the reason I ask about the Magna 250(made mid 90's - 2002) is the Venox (came out 2002-3) 'basicly' IS this bike...

If there is any source for parts/acc for the Magna 250 in a country close by it might be a way to get after market products.

Honda would be the best choice to find 'compatable' products...
