KYMCO Offers Sneak Peak at New Product

Feb 26, 2008

More than a dozen journalists are at KYMCO USA headquarters in Spartanburg, S.C. this week inspecting on-and off-road product that's to be formally unveiled at the company's dealer meeting in April.

KYMCO introduced a prototype side-by-side, the UXV 500 4x4, at the EICMA show in Milan late last year. Stay tuned to learn whether the company plans to offer the unit here in the U.S. for '08.

Going to Daytona? Check out KYMCO's product display featured prominently at the track.

Now we know where all of the R&D money has been going. Instead of a new bike they built another side by side. Oh well.

I agree with mojo, I think that Kymco should be looking into more and different types and models of bikes and cruisers, but if they can't do that, it would at least be nice to find another company to do accessories with since they dropped Spaan out of Madrid.

Mojo and Hitman,

I totally agree they should spend more time on cruisers but it is ok they spend time on ATV's also.

If you look at the stastics. (well for Texas but I looked at some of the other larger states too) the best selling selling items are cruiser bikes and the best selling offroad is ATV. If I was Kymco I would attack these two areas. I get the ATV's but I don't know what the hell they are thinking on not going after the cruiser market.

The Side by side is what they most likely produce for Artic Cat so it just makes sense that they sell it under their name also.
