Oil pump ?
AmishCrackDealer - May 24, 2007 06:12 PM (GMT)
I'd guess its an add-on oil cooler....
skiing49er - May 24, 2007 06:14 PM (GMT)
Looks odd... Is this a fuel injected version? Maybe part of an oil cooler? Extra filter?
obxbiker - May 24, 2007 06:18 PM (GMT)
Not the AFI as there is no hump on the tank...
It has to do with the oil as one end conects to where you would add the oil.
ps...found it on flickr photos

A screw on hose fitting like that would make it easier to change oil...

It's one of the later model Venoxes. Did you notice the extra small diameter exhaust tube? Pops is the factory mechanic, How about it? :old: :whip:

:old: I am what, I do not know I have never seen one. One of those stick on things that J.C. Whitney sells? It is in a oil line I have never seen a Oil cooler that looks like that. Due to its location some sort of oil recirculating system.

:old: I looked around and I think it is a show oil cleaner. There are several made that look almost like that and they are to go on custom rides.

U mean for show and not functional?
pops - May 26, 2007 04:35 AM (GMT)
:old: I am sure it cools to some degree but on a water cooled engine that is debatable. By show I mean pretty.

It appears to be a super fine bypass type filter. I get this impression from
1/ Oil line written on hose
2/ Return oil goes into filler not to moving parts
There was a time you could buy a superfine bypass oil filter for a car that used a toilet roll as a filter. I guess it wiped the shit out of the oil. Anyway the sales pitch was that you never need to change your oil as this filter is so fine it removes all contaminants.

:old: It is a fuel oiler, mixes a precise amount into the gas so that the tops of the pistons are oiled. The oil is thicker and creats more compression there for more horse power which leads to faster mph.

:old: You are either pulling our legs off, :billshit: :hahaha: or come up with something that's plumb amazing! Does it have an auxiliary oil tank now? I thought we lost 2 strokes because oil injection was too nasty on the environment... :pull:

It had to be bull because oil lowers octane rating.
