Pretty scary, expecially considering the motor is pretty much the same as the GV650.

I have read it serveral times and am not sure if the "blame" is really totally on the bike...

It seems to be divided between:

Dealer(S)
Hyosung
Owner
Bike (?)

not necessarily in that order...

I agree, but the engine crapping itself does seem to be a common issue.

I'm just glad I'm not him.

It's a sports bike but if you ride so hard you can expect failure. How often does a $200,000 race car fail in a 1000km race? Pretty often! Yes it's a sports bike but it's also a road bike and should be driven within the law. Not many places allow 130 miles per hour!

The whole story is a combination of crap dealers, hard rider and and a low cost bike being ridden like a specialist race bike.

I don't know what to think. I just don't know...

Certainly seems like many bad events converging on one person.

BTW, the handlebar problem story at the end. I've seen that one elsewhere. So, I'm thinking that's not a new one.

:old: We sold one the first week we had them, it is a 07 and he traded a Venox in on it so it must be a good bike. He loves it. rides the hell out of it. No problems so far.

hmm -- the guys blog is now appearing at a number of forums

BTW - the speeds that the bloke wants to travel at or cruises at is quite high 120mph or 200kmh and being passed by his mates doing 150mph or 241km/h - not sure that his dream bike (Daytona 675) would be able to meet his expectations
