NEC 2006; HYOSUNG'S SLICK 650

Hyosung showed a prototype model at the NEC yesterday - the GT650X - which is a variant on the GT650R model already in the range.

The GT650X features a trellis type frame, V-Twin motor, catalyser hidden beneath the engine, with a MotoGP style end can, braced swingarm and a more upright riding position.

There's no word on price yet, but E P Barrus who import the Hyosung brand in the UK reckon it will be competitive with class leading machines like the SV650 Suzuki, Hornet 600 etc.

So it's called a GT650X at NEC and a GT650M at Intermot... I wonder what it will eventually turn out to be?

I love the new street-fighter trend that seems to be taking over - liek a cross between chopper and sport bike that is all business!!!

Now while I'm a cruiser man at heart, that thing looks great.

Good to see Hyosung is prepared to get funky with their designs, hope to see plenty more of it in the future!
