Well I guess that everyone has everthing they want !? :(

pops - August 4, 2006 10:35 AM (GMT)
NO but that just about covers it. I have mounted a travel trunk on a Venox for a guy and it came out pretty nice.

mojo75 - August 5, 2006 05:46 AM (GMT)
A better seat would be nice.

What I ment to say about the box is it would be nice to have those type of things made to fit the Venox and not so generic

i just bought the yellow venox love it so far but hate the exhaust anybody know where i can find new exhaust

We are currently giving Dave at FITH GEAR our thoughts as to what we would like. There is currently nothing out there unless you live in JAPAN or HONGKONG.

Post what you would like to see on this topic:

So what would you like to see for...., Kymco Venox

:2c: Re: WINDSHIELDS, Just about any of the universal handlebar mt styles will work w/o driving lights. With accssy lighting, care must be taken for clearances. I've had luck with the 15" Spitfire and the Memphis Shades Classic Deuce both clear my halogen driving lights....JW :D

A tach would be really nice.....

Self cancelling turn signals (Winkers) would be nice.

A driver back rest would be on my list also. Something like a reversed sissy bar.

A sun shade attachment over the neutral/high beam/turnsignal lights would help you see then in the bright sun light.

I've found the charging system on the Venox to be marginal. Really only capable of adding 40 or 50 watts of lighting accessories.
With Kymco providing a factory light bar, I'd like to see the stator beefed up at least 10 amps. That way, we would have an additional 120watts to play with. Able to run two 65watt driving lights and a few saddlebag trim lights nonstop w/o fear of excessive battery drain. What do you think? :chopper: John

obxbiker - November 10, 2006 03:03 AM (GMT)
Absolutely !!! Thats why I have not added extra "headlights" as I have a speaker system with each speaker having a built in amp of 40 watts. 2 speakers on one bike and 4 on the other. Add my LEDS engine lights (low draw) , alarm system, rear veiw camera system and I'm over the limit....

After my new drivinglights proved to be a drain on the system, I replaced the 50watt mr16 halogen bulbs with a narrow spot 20watt mr16 halogen, thus lowering the overall load from 100 watts down to 40 watts. Then, I was able to adjust each driving light by covering the other lights and getting optimum light coverage on each side.

I found these little Optronics halogen driving lights online for less than $10/pair+s/h. By using extensions, my son was able to use 4 lights on my '04. Gotta be careful when locking the forks tho, the bottom one bumps the radiator cap at full left turn.

He got around the power issue by running the light relay off the high beam lead in the headlight bucket for the 50watt pair. The other pair were relamped to 20 watts. That way, the charging system can handle the add'l 40watt load and the two 50 watt lights are not on all the time. Also works well to warn other motorists when approaching intersections... :woohoo:

I agree with the self cancelling winlers system. Having been cruising this weekend having had a rare day of sunshine, I find that once again my left winkers light dont work. I am realy getting peeved with this problem.
I would also like to have the option of floorboards rather than foot pegs

Maybe a centerstand? Still trying to figure out how I'm going to lube the chain. Maybe I'll buy a jack/lift.

That's how we've been doing it, with a lift that is....

Centerstands are nicer for "on the road." Maybe I'll learn to spray the chain while riding down the highway. :o

Have you seen the "SCOTTOLIER" auto chain oiler ?
The members at ClubVenox have info on "how to install on the NOX".

geekonabike - December 13, 2006 02:52 PM (GMT)
I've seen them. Folks love 'em or hate 'em. It would be an interesting way to go. Thanks for reminding me.

We have links here at the site to detailed installations on the NOX that were done at CV.

One of the guys at CV had pics of his Venox setting on 2 small jackstands with a pad on top to prevent scraping. One under each side of the swingarm. Looked good enough for chain lubing. I can't find the post at the moment.

Has Pops used the screw jack on a Venox? It looks to me like the front exhaust would be in the way...

pops - May 2, 2007 11:34 PM (GMT)
:old: Just to lube a chain on mine I put a small floor jack under right side and lift it up on the center stand. I put the jack under the exhaust pipe and only lube chain. Never go higher than need to spin wheel. I have not had any problems with exhaust pipe. In the past I have jacked it this way and when the wheel was off put a jack stand under swing arm. But I only do this for chain lube in a pinch. and I only use a flooor jack. never tried a screw jack.
