Title: Try [ Your ] Luck
Description: {Entering} Lady Grey
Spirit Dancer - August 22, 2007 10:27 PM (GMT)
The rosey grey coloring of my pelt flashes in the rare, scortching rays of the sun. I was taking advatange of the heat and light, for I knew the rain would come again soon. I wouldn't be here if I had had my way. Heavens, no. I would be at my lands, making other Lords tremble where the stood at the uttering of my name - and Dukes craving for me to be their Duchess. But, thanks to Pemmbrooke, that putrid vermin, I had been banished, and my lands taken from me.
Fortunately, they did only one thing right: They didn't strip me of my title. They knew of my wrath, very much so through the murder my sister, Lily, and her mate, Elric. Not to mention other minorities. Such as the small fight I had endured with Duke Zhyrail's mate, Duchess Aear. Trying to say I had tampered with her love's feelings, and made him hate her. Ha! Likely story, deary.
However, with the loss I was dealing with, I stood tall. Literally. With my mixed blood, nothing I flaunted surely, of the Anglo Arab and Thoroughbred made my limbs slender, and long - making me agile. The draft blood from my father made me slightly bulkier, yet stronger, and gave my long limbs some feathering. I was, without a doubt, the perfect killing machine. Even if my rosey grey coloring was a flaw from my parents' breeding, it gave me a rarity that hardly none had. My color was a diamond within the coals. And the rosey grey coloring defined who I was:
Lady Grey.
Sickly blue occuli stare onto the lifeless land before me, as my curly sable tail flicks from side to side, brushing against my back legs and the ground, and slightly lifted due to my impending season. Rosey grey audda pin back as I growl softly, pressing forward into a slow lope, so I could find shelter again before it started to rain.

OOC: May come later on with Black Onyx, since Annalei hasn't been on much.

The brute galloped through the land, obsidian banner waving behind his massive bod. Hard muscles stretched and retracted with the movements of his pillars. Onyx hide glistened with a slight sweat from running here. He scented the air as he came. All of a sudden he scented something. The stallion halted and smirked. The scent of a mare, another one to add to his collection. Another one to have a little fun with. He cantered on and stopped in front of her.
"Greetings," he said, in a deep voice, fitting to his stature. "I am Black Onyx, ruler of the Deathtrap Riverbed. May I ask who you are?" He looked her over quickly, noting her gray coloring. He looked at her sickly blue orbs, the proud and dangerous way she carried herself. This was not a mare to be rude to. She could probably whip Onyx's 18-hand-high body rather easily. He'd be careful with her.

My sickly blue gaze sweeps over the black stallion as he introduces himself. With a scowl, ivor audda pinned themselves back into my sable curls asI stood in a few moments of silence.
"I am Lady Grey," I reply, my ivor tiara still raised as my sable tassels sway from side to side behind me, brushing the backs of my legs softly. My vioce was unwavering, hauntingly emotionless, and commanding. Just how I was raised to act, and carry myself. Even if I no longer ruled, I would never let my lineage die in shame. "Previous Lady of Tyra and Beckingsdale. A...pleasure to meet you."

[x] HG, if you don't reply within the next few days, I'll probably get rid of her or throw her into a land. [/x]

When he first laid eyes on her, the brute knew that she was one to be reckoned with. But when she spoke, said her name and previous rank, he was sure that she deserved respect. Perfect for his Queen. "Well, Lady Grey, I'm pretty sure that you have come for a home. So I'm going to cut the small talk. I'm offering a home for you. I know that it probably won't be as good as your previous domain, but you'll be Queen again there. I live in the Forbidden Caves. You don't have to come with, seeing as you wouldn't take very much forcing to follow by me, so I'll let you decide." He stopped and waited to see what her answer would be.

Sickly blue occuli narrowed, as audda remained pinned. His offer made my life seem way too easy; a catch was hidden somewhere. There always was, like when I'd been bethroved to Pemmbrooke, though it solidfied my claim to both our families thrones.
It was just a...misfortunate accident that Pemmbrooke ended up murdered. Oh well. He wouldn't of done the world any favors, or my bloodline either.
My unwavering stare remains on him, as charred lips formed the if-slightly curious words of my response: "What is your land like, these 'Forbidden Caves'?"

Onyx paused, trying to word his description so that it would impress her. He had been slightly expecting her question: what former queen wouldn't ask about her future home? "It's a land of darkness most of the time. A forest hides the entrance, which can be a good thing sometimes. The entrance itself is a thin passage, only big enough for a single horse, with a little room on either side. It leads to a large cavern inside, the main herd land. Two more caves branch out from this central cave: one leads to a water source, the other to another cavern, which I have not found a use for. Small waterfalls are hidden in the walls of the cave, which give off a soft tinkling noise, which can be nice, depending on your mood. The ceiling has a few holes in it, which let in light, giving the impression of spotlights on the bottom. There are stalagmites jutting from the floor and stalactites from the ceiling in the main cavern, creating little "rooms" for sleeping horses. It's a nice place, but still dark enough for me." He stopped, looking at the Lady, waiting for her response.

Charred pillars shifted my slight weight once more, whatever feathering they had brushed against one another. Sickly pale blue occuli glanced their stare away, blinking slowly as my mind went to working out minor snags and detailings that would go along. Surely, if I decided to go with him, I would be stuck there till death. Or until I grew bored, and simply left.
But, by his description, it would take quite a bit of time for me to grow bored. Yet, that was an assumption.
Pearly audda emerged from the waterfall of sable locks, as my sickly blue gaze returned to him. "I don't see any harm in it, I suppose," came the somewhat hesitant response.
Horsegirl - October 27, 2007 07:24 PM (GMT)
Obsidian lips curved into a smile. "Then I suppose I have found a queen, for now," he said, turning so that he could still look at her, but was ready to go. "Follow me." He trotted away for a few strides, then broke into a lope, looking back to see if Lady Grey was following.
/OOC: Why is it that whenever I've seen Lady Grey, my stallion always gets her? Lol..../
Spirit Dancer - October 27, 2007 07:58 PM (GMT)
'For now? Then you don't know me at all, m'dear,' came the thought, as my ivor diadem bobbed slightly in a silent response. Truly, my past would remain mine; unless I was challenged, then the truth would have to be revealed. I wasn't a simple Lady who was willing to step aside when a fight came along. Oh no, no, no. I was the one that would start fights, just so ivories could find tender flesh of the opponent. Some said I had a slight taste for blood, which may explain why I had gotten along so well with the carnivorous Vladimir Dracula.
Charred pillarstook wide strides of a smooth gaited trot to close some distance, before extending into a gentle canter, so that I eased up to the sable brute's side.
[x] I'll post her in the Caves whenever I can, 'kay? [/x]
