Title: Enter: The Sea
Description: Poseidon has arrived.

I cantered along the shore. My smoky tassels swirled around my lighter crest in the wind, aromatic with a faint salty tang. Obsidian daggers prodded the ground with each stride, powering my 17-hands-high body across the sands. Blue-green oculars watched the water, the gulls. Dark gray auds flicked around to catch any sounds other than the gulls' cries and my own breathing and soft sounds of hoof meeting sand.

I had begun a journey a year ago. A journey that could take me anywhere, one to escape the wrath of my father. He had wanted to kill me at birth, but only my mom convinced him to let me live. Then, only a year ago, when I was two, he planned to kill me again. Luckily, my mother had heard of his evil plot and helped me escape from the only home I'd ever known. I'd traveled for a year in uninhabited places, until I found here.

Now I had come for a home for a time. I stopped and let a loud, deep call escape my lips, pricked my thorns to listen for a reply other than the normal beach sounds. I hoped that there was someone here, anyone that would let me in.

((Sorry, didn't see the unfinished part. Just ignore my post until you finish ^^))

Large hooves sunk in the sand, powerful muscles in his legs carrying the stallion swiftly over the beach's shores. It had been yet another year since the brute had set hoof upon the sands of Riduna, an older land which he had once lead. A terrible disaster seperated the herd, and by the looks of it, the beautiful land remained untouched after he left. Auds pinned against his crown, buried in thick spiraling strands of flaxen. His blonde tresses were quite odd compared to his bright red chestnut coat, reminding some of the colors of fire. A bold white blaze ran down his muzzle, long forelock hiding dark brown eyes. Faded cream muzzle tucked close to his broad chest, Echelon was quite the attractive stallion, in his prime at age of eight years. ~~~~

Ears jerked back to a call of a newcomer, a stallion it seemed...Rolling my eyes, I turn back around to go find this new beast. Soon his grey figure, tall as mine, appears on the shoreline. Letting my own call out to him, I'm sure to make a point that I rule these lands. Well wasn't this just dandy? Finally someone else comes to these barren lands and its a stallion. Where'd all the mares go? At the thought of mares, my mind drifts to Calla, wondering what had happened to her as well... Shaking her memory from my mind, I approach the stallion with my crown held high. "Welcome, newcomer, to Riduna Beach. I am Echelon, lead of these barren lands."

I turned my cranium sharply at another's words. I looked him over as he approached: his fiery hide, blonde locks, light muzzle, the blaze down his face. He looked like he was powerful, very powerful, and he was the same height as me, and I was tall. Could be bad if it came to blows. I disregarded his appearance and concentrated on his reaction to me being there.

Welcome, newcomer, to Riduna Beach. I am Echelon, lead of these barren lands.

He was leader then? All the better. I wasn't exactly up for leading or anything right now, one being a colt, and two not really having time to be a leader. And his name was Echelon? Nice. It was a good name, showed authority. I nodded to him

"Thank you, Echelon. I am Poseidon, named after the sea god of Greek mythology. I have not come to challenge you at any rate, simply to ask for a home, if I may."

I listen to him carefully, studying him all the while as he studied me as well. Wise choice not to make a challenge at first notice, fighting would be a waste of time without a basic herd to take over. Once some equines actually joined the lands, a challenge would seem more worth the fight. Anyways, didn't so much as matter now, considering all this stallion wanted was a home to reside in. Very well, but I will teach him my ways of rule, for they have changed slightly since I last came here.

"Very well Posiedon, you are welcome to live here. But when the herd grows larger and mares come, I'm sure you will be a full-fledged stallion by then. And I ask that should you take interest in any of my future brides, keep it to yourself or a fight will come. You will be allowed one mare that will not be of my harem..."

((xD Echy normally doesn't act like this, he's normally care-free...But I guess he got sick of people thinking he wasn't fit to lead, now he's all commander-ruling and all, lol))

OOC: Here comes a ton of muse to make a good post. Lol.
IC:
I watched him size me up as I had to him. I began to relax at his words.

You are welcome to live here. That was good. Nothing to worry about there.

But when the herd grows larger and mares come, I'm sure you will be a full-fledged stallion by then. That was for sure. The herd would have to grow larger, with a ruler like this brute before me.

Should you take interest in any of my future brides, keep it to yourself or a fight will come. That I would do. I probably wouldn't have any interest in his mares, especially since they'd be off-limits. I'm not the sort that goes around flirting with other horses' loves.

You will be allowed one mare that will not be of my harem. That I'd be fine with too. If I wanted more mares in my harem, then I could go own my own land. I'd prefer to stay on this guy's good side.

"I completely understand your requests, and I thank you very much for allowing me into your herd."

((x.x now I have no muse...You can just bring him to the main herdlands now...))
