By now, Kismet knew she was dying. She had been unsure before, but she was positive now. The world around her tipped and rocked on its axis as things came in and out of focus. Her heart was beating quickly as she finally collapsed to the ground, breathing heavily. Don't think of it as death, she told herself. It's just the next chapter for you. You've lived a long life, anyway.
She thought of her old love and her old home in the mountains of Forever Free. All of that seemed so long ago and so far away. She thought of Sage, her long lost son. She would never get to say her one last good-bye to him. Tears streamed down her cheeks. She was old - it was her time to go - but there were so many things that she still wanted to do in life!
Her heart was already slowing as breathing became more and more difficult. The old mare was drifting into a dark, endless sleep. Her eyelids fluttered as she tried to stay awake - but the black abyss beyond was beckoning her with soft, sweet words.
Finally, her tensed muscles relaxed as her whole body gave in. There was no stopping it, now. A bright light enveloped the sleeping mare's form as her spirit was lifted up from her weary, aching body.((OOC: Kismet had lived a full life. She had lived, loved, lossed, and laughed. Even though there were many things that she felt she had missed or left out, she couldn't stop the fact that it was her time to go. She was also my fourth charrie ever made, so I've role-played her for at least a couple of years, now. May her soal rest in peace.))
