Title: Give Me A [reason]
Description: dementa
Mystery - February 16, 2008 07:18 PM (GMT)

You aren’t what I expected. With those hooves of sharp edges and delicate maneuvers. Obsidian eyes reach out and capture your victim’s heart. Deep holes in your eyes, a monster just waiting to eat someone’s soul. Jaws of tinted snappers, grinding together as a pulsing anger races through your veins. With each step taken, a new second of past is added to your ticking life clock. Each grain of sand falls each second, counting down the days to your death. Whether it’s stopped short or you live a long life, it will sit there and count. She can hear each grain dropping down, she can’t wait till that day when her life is taken away. The angel of death can’t come any sooner because she would just welcome it with open arms. Though, it seemed today was not her day to go. The smashed trees, dried grasses, and thirsty ground showed no possible ways of dying anyway.
Her dark bay coat was tainted with white socks and a star. Disliked by her and wanted by many. With very fine curves, she isn’t exactly what you call ugly. Finely curved neck holds her dished Arabian head. Thick breathe breathed through charred nostrils. A fluid trot flows through her body; showing off every muscle she owned. With the love of showing off, she presented whore and lover. With a bitter tongue and harsh looks to match. A weak and meaningless wind pressed at her body, exhaustion starting to spread slowly. Days and days, no rest had led her to this seemingly deserted claiming field. Yet, she could smell them all. No particular scent was strong enough to stand out for her, but she was willing to wait.
“Come out, come out where ever you hide.” Silky tones let her tongue slide. Very seductive and smooth words sliced the thick and deadly air. She wanted to meet a stallion, whether it be alpha or loner. Whether she stayed and told the truth. Since she had stopped moving, her body began to tremble. Eagerness wrought her frame, bringing adrenaline to a height as muscles clenched tightly. Black eyes softly gazed out and searched, giving off her composure as lonely and a bit desperate. Within moments, she was frustrated as her tail snapped up into the air. Being a high-strung Arabian, patience wasn’t exactly key to her mind. Her mind was thinking one thing: hope any brute that calls can keep my interest. And it was touched with just a bit of disgust.
abbydoodle96 - February 20, 2008 03:21 AM (GMT)
Here I was again. Trying again to get my first mare to bring to my new lands, the Dimitra Cliffs. I was here once, but no mare had caught my sight. This time, I was hoping for a better mare to show up; someone to catch my interest.
I was pure Gypsy Vanner, and it obviously showed. I was a big equine, and was bigger that a lot of equines I knew. It was hard to find a mare my size, but that was never a barrier. I didn't care about her size. All I cared about was getting her to my land, and into my herd. What I was looking for, was the perfect mare. Dark, beautiful, yet had a good personality. Dark, yet easy to get along with, with Darks, anyway.
My brown optics scanned the Shadowlands, searching for the first mare to get my attention. There she was. I bay mare was the first one that I saw, and that was the one that I wanted. I was sure of it. I walked over, not bothering to slow down or anything; just walk over like I knew here, even though we had never met. I nickered a greeting to the mare once I was a few feet away from her.
"Bonjour, manquer," I said in my first language, French, but thinking she probably didn't know my native tongue, I switched to English. "I'm Apollinaire, King of the Dimitra Cliffs," I said, my accent strong. "May I know your name?"
Mystery - February 20, 2008 04:14 AM (GMT)
An ear cocked to the side as a vibration rolled through the earth. Crystal black eyes turned and looked over the stallion with ease. Both ears pinned at the sound of the brute's nicker, an obvious look of dislike on her elegantly sculpted face. Though at the sound of King, her face went smooth and a seducing smile graced her lips. "Hello to you too, Apollinaire." Her sweet and silky tones glided off her tongue as head dipped down. His accent was noticed by her, in a bit of interest. Yes, she did think accent were attracting and her smile grew just a bit bigger.
"My name?" A chuckle gurgled in her throat. Black eyes gazed at the thick brute, a light shake of her head. "You must be foolish thinking I would give away my name right away." Though he was about a hand or so taller then her, she was not fearful of him or give in to his words. Stepping away gingerly, she did not want to stand too close to him. Who knows what this king was capable of anyway. Eyes began inspecting the thickly muscled heethan as she waited for his response to her chuckle. The heart beat that thumped in her chest raced along, just wanting to be with a stallion again; to feel the lust that she so long ago used to feel. But should she trust him to give in to her wants? All her needs and sudden wants. Ha, no stallion yet has been able to keep up with her.
abbydoodle96 - February 20, 2008 01:02 PM (GMT)
That was not the thing that I wanted to hear. So, she wouldn't even give out her name, huh? Ok, I'd give her a bit more time. I nodded and stepped a foot closer, to where we were the exact same far apart than when I got here. "No problem," I said, my thick accent showing. There was no way to hide that I was obviously French. I didn't care what she thought of it though, as that didn't matter much at the moment. Many liked his accent, anyway, and were interested in it. Would this mare be the same?
What did she expect me to do until she'd give out her name, though? I'd start a topic on something else until she decided to give out her name. Because I couldn't think of anything to say, I just asked her something. "What do you expect me to do for you to give out your name?" I asked. I looked behind me for a quick second, and quickly looked back at her, waiting for her answer to my question.
Mystery - February 20, 2008 03:01 PM (GMT)
Her own eyes followed to where he had glanced, confused. Was he waiting for someone or just waiting for her? She chuckled again, a cold and raspy chuckle. "Not ask for it, simply introducing yourself does the trick." She winked a dark eye at him as her smile curled into a grin like the chesire cat's grin. Long threads of hair swayed back and forth as her muscles jumped. He had stepped closer to the beauty, her sculpted face shook very cautiously. Moving her hooves in an intricate step patten, she now was standing beside him. The bay coat sitting on her bones twitched and almost seemed to glitter in the brilliant sun.
"Now, you may be wondering if you simply introduced yourself again I would give out my name." She stared straight forward and would only look at the patched beast from the corner of her eye. Charred muzzle vibrated every time a breath was exhaled and inhaled. "Yet, you have thought wrong." Face dipping down again to grab an itch upon her chest. Pawing a front hoof out upon the ground, striking up dust; her head tilted on a few degrees. "My name is a secret, something you must figure out by yourself." Her words, very silky voice, everything about her now was very seducing. The evil grin had reduced to nothing and coal black eyes softly shined as she looked at him.
abbydoodle96 - February 20, 2008 06:27 PM (GMT)
I almost rolled my optics at the mare, but decided not to. I decided to be 'nicer', in Dark ways. I looked behind me again, not careing if the mare was wondering why I kept doing that. I turned my attention back to the femme in front of me; the one that was getting on my nerves. I pushed that aside, and thought of something to say to get her like me enough to give out her name.
"So, are you looking for a companion, mate, or herd?" I asked. I thought about asking why she was here, but I knew that answer. All mares came here for one reason, and one reason only. To get claimed by some stallion. What I wanted to know, was if she wanted a herd stallion, or a herd leader. I had just claimed my lands, and was not about to give them up just because some mare didn't want a herd leader. If she didn't want me, then I would just wait for another mare to come along. Someone would eventually like me enough to follow me to my lands, and I was hoping that would be this mare.
Mystery - February 20, 2008 07:18 PM (GMT)
Her muscles tensed, only knowing that she was getting on his nerves. Only a hint of a smile licked her lips. She loved her games and how she played them. If this stallion couldn't handle it (what stallion could?), she wouldn't really give a damn. No stallion had been able to beat her game, no stallion ever learned her name. The mysterious bay mare that they all wanted at first, always getting pissed off in the end because she was too cunning. Snorting, her eyes rolled, the pristine whites showing along the corners.
"Looking? No, I do not look. I wait." Her voice was confident in her choice, a thin layer of cruel holding true. "And I so happen to be waiting for any kind of stallion..." Vocals stopped, everything became still as she paused. Did she want to say it? Would he be disappointed knowing that he wasn't exactly the stallion that fit her criteria? Her lips open, a breath being sucked in. A shudder crackled through her body, filling her veins and she did decide to keep talking; to keep playing her game. "that can win my game." Finally, that hint of smile grew for she knew no stallion could win her game. Unless it so happened for her to find a stallion that was her exact opposite...
abbydoodle96 - February 20, 2008 09:18 PM (GMT)
I resisted the urge to laugh at what she called 'her game'. I nodded and thought of what to say next. Yes, I was willing to play this little game of hers, and I was sure to eventually win at whatever it was. If I couldn't, I wouldn't care one bit, for I'd just try to get her to come with me some other way. If there was any other way...Sure, this wasn't what I wanted to be doing. Playing games with some mare who refused to tell me her name, but I wanted her.
"A game I'm willing to play," I said, smirking just a tad. I took a glance behind me again, before looking back at the bay mare before me. Yes, I had to try to get her to come with me back to my lands. She'd be my first mare since I claimed the Dimtra Cliffs, if I could get her to come. There was something about her that was mysterious, and I liked that. She was the mare that I wanted, and she was the one that I was going to try and get. She'd be a challenge, I could tell, but I was willing to try and win her over.
Mystery - February 20, 2008 09:25 PM (GMT)
Her composure stayed still, sleek and coy. Small and pointed ears tilted back against her poll, black forelock covering them. The smile upon her face usually appeared when she knew she was in charge. And this stallion let her do so exactly. When she looked in his eyes, she could tell that he wanted her; wanted her to come with him back to his land. But, she would not come this easily. She wanted him to lust for her, not just want. Wanted to be willing to drag her back just so he could be with her. A loose giggle rippled up her throat.
"Do you know how to play?" She asked, her tone a light whisper; breath curling in front of her face. Chin tucked neatly against her neck, black eyes inspecting the beast standing before her. "You can play it this way. Or that way. Maybe it's another way or you may never know." Winking again, she wanted to make things difficult. Hooves lightly kneading the ground as long hairs swung back and forth. The muscles lining her skin, barely shown, rolled as she moved again. Now, she stood in front of him again. Merely waiting for a response she was ready for.
abbydoodle96 - February 20, 2008 09:36 PM (GMT)
Mysterious. Hard to get. That was all I knew about her. She'd definatly be a challenge to win over, but I was also willing to try. This game of hers...was something I didn't know anything about. What was she talking about? What game? That was something I would have to figure out myself, I guessed, as she wouldn't tell me anything. I thought hard on what to say next. I had to be careful when choosing my words with this mare, because of this game of hers.
"Tell me more," I said, my smirk growing a tad bigger. "I'll figure it out." Yeah, I wasn't the best at figuring out things, but I would definatly try to understand what she was talking about, and what she was trying to get him to do. I took one step forward, and looked at the bay mare, the smirk still spread across my face. This mare was starting to get annoying, but, yes, she was the one.
Mystery - February 21, 2008 03:54 AM (GMT)
"More? If I say more, you'll figure it all out." Her smile faded as his grew larger. The head upon her neck shook lightly, he did not get it; he would never figure it out. Eyes merely closed for a second, feeling instead of seeing. She could feel his movements reverberating through the ground, her heartbeat thumping in her chest or how he so badly wanted her to come back with him. The muscles under her skin jumped again as he took a step toward her. Eyes popping open, black gaze turning hard. Hooves moved over the ground as she too took a step closer to him.
It was time to starting seducing. Ah, she was still going to mysterious and coy. Just a little more...open about being close to another. She could start to feel his body heat gripping at her. It's warmth enveloping her, wanting her to get even closer. But no, she was not going to fall for it just yet. She was not going to fall for it again or ever. Letting her black eyes look into his eyes, dry lips straightened out. "And the reason you don't want to figure it out is because you'll be shocked." Her voice curled somewhat in an angelic tone, sweet and candy like. "We wouldn't want that now." Nodding her head lightly, her hoof rose and was placed just a few inches closer to this brute who called himself king.
abbydoodle96 - February 21, 2008 02:30 PM (GMT)
Shocked? I had always learned to expect the unexpected. Surprises, if that was what she was talking about. My smirk had faded away for a second, but came back when I watched her move closer. Was I beginning to lure her in? Or was this some sort of trick that went along with her little game? I could almost feel her, but not quite. I wanted her to come closer, but I'd let her do that. I wouldn't want to scare her by /me/ getting closer to her. I rose my cranium just a tad, and snorted, thinking what to say next. This mare was irritating(sp?), but that was something I was already used to.
"Shocking?" I said, lowering my cranium back to where it was, to where I was eye to eye with her. I looked into her black optics, wondering where this was going? Could I get her to come with me? My hoof pawed at the ground for a moment, then stopped. It went quiet, and I was standing as still as I could, looking into her eyes. I wanted her, and I was close to lusting for her. She was the one I wanted, and she was the one I was going to get. Or try at least...
Mystery - February 22, 2008 02:02 PM (GMT)
He moved eye to eye with her. Her black eyes stared straight into his light colored ones. Never once did she blink or move them away from him. A loud snap, her tail moved, then there was silence. The sides along her body moved n and out, letting her breathe almost silently. Lifting a fore hoof, she crawled an inch closer to the stallion. He wasn't drawing her in, not at all. It was just part of her little game, but what did he know? Her body was close enough so just the hairs brushed. Her cranium still up and her eyes never removing themselves from his.
"Yes, shocking. I can be that way sometimes." A slice of playfulness crisped her lips. Her eyes slowly and finally trailed from his and upon the ground. Taking a step away from the smile, she couldn't help but smile bigger. Looking up and into the clear sky, her daggers still pressed farther away from the stallion. They stopped her when she was about three feet away. Her crystal black eyes moving back to him, the smile suddenly gone like it was never there. "If you don't like shocking then I can always leave." Her petite shoulders rolled up in a shrug, her eyes looking at him in a daring way.
abbydoodle96 - February 22, 2008 02:45 PM (GMT)
I wouldn't give up that fast. I took a step forward as she took a few steps backward, to where we were around 2 feet away from each other. I watched her, looking back into her black opticals for a moment, then looking behind me again. I snorted and looked back at the still nameless mare. "No, I want you," I said. I wasn't going to let her run away just yet. I was going to continue playing this game, and to win her over.
Then, I decided to try and get her name again. This would be the last time I would ask, so if she didn't answer me this time, she'd have to tell me herself without me asking. "Manquer, may I now know your name?" I asked, using the French word for 'miss'. There was nothing else to really call her, except something that was rude, and I didn't want to do that. I backed up one step, to give her a little space. I had to get on this mare's good side, or I'd never get anything out of her. I'd never get her to come with me, and I'd never even learn her name. That's what I planned on doing. Both of those things.
Mystery - February 22, 2008 10:58 PM (GMT)
Her head pulled back as he made a move. The sudden movement startled the damsel, making her body tense. Though as his eyes lowered to look into her eyes then away, it made her heart leap. The chesire cat smile was back upon her lips again. Those four words made her blood heat and adrenaline race through her veins. She did not reply to his words, her curled lips was the only response he needed. Somehow, he happened to be in the lead in her little game. Heh, not giving in does help sometimes.
Her blood curdled at his voice this time. French, the accent and words, just made her coat stand on end. Biting against her bottom lip, her black eyes grew with a flame. "It's..." A slight pause in her sweet and demonic voice. Real name or cover name? Truth or lies? It was so hard for her to tell the truth, but she might as well this time. "Maria." Her voice so candy like, it would hurt your teeth just listening. The ears on top of her head folded back into her mane, waiting for his voice again.
abbydoodle96 - February 23, 2008 01:08 AM (GMT)
Maria? I couldn't say I haven't heard that name before. It was a common name, but not really for an equine. Living with humans for my first couple years, is the reason why I knew English. I had heard the name Maria on the two-legged many times, but I haven't ever heard it on an equine. For some reason I didn't believe her, but I shook my head and snorted.
"Maria?" I said, and nodded. I took a glance behind me, as if expecting something, but looked right back at her. "Really?" I didn't know wether to believe her or not, because it seemed like all she did was try to confuse me. I didn't know who was in the lead of her little game. I wanted to win, and for her to be the prize, but she was so confusing, and mysterious. I nodded and looked down at the ground for a moment, before looking back at the mare that claimed to be named 'Maria'. Would I win?
Mystery - February 23, 2008 01:22 AM (GMT)
Her ears flipped back when he had doubted her. Doubted her about her own name. The name her parents had gifted her with. A frown creased her sly smile. "Doubt me, huh?" She hissed, her candy sweet voice no more. Taking a step away from the stallion, she did not look at him. Black eyes once lit now a cold and empty. Never had anyone doubted her before. If this brute really wanted to win her over, defeat her game, doubting was taking three steps backwards.
"Yes, my name is Maria." Her voice like icy daggers. "More commonly known as Dementa, but the ones who know my real name are ones with special privileges." She paused, her cold stare just boring into his skin. Tail snapping back and forth as she wandered a few more steps away from the brute. "But I guess you don't deserve those special privileges." Her voice teasing, but yet serious. Anyone who had ever doubted her for whatever stupid reason got a fairly cold shoulder. Looks like he wasn't in the lead now.
abbydoodle96 - February 23, 2008 03:27 AM (GMT)
Dementa? Maria? Which was her real name? Which could I believe was her actual name? I saw that doubting her was a bad idea, and I snorted at that. I looked down for a moment, then looked back at the mare called either Maria or Dementa, and took one step further to her. "Tell me your real name," I said, hoping that she'd tell me which was her name. I didn't want to lose her anymore than I just did when I doubted her.
I took a glance up at the sky, which was getting darker as they stood there longer. I didn't want to wait anymore. I wanted to get back to my land, but I wasn't going to go back alone. Hopefully I'd be going back to the Dimitra Cliffs with this mare. Dementa, or Maria. At least I got /a/ name out of her, wether it was true or not. Could I believe her? "Is it Maria...or Dementa?"
Mystery - February 23, 2008 04:34 AM (GMT)
She got angrier. Ears tried folding farther, eyes grew colder, and stare left the stallion. Taking steps farther away from him, she did not want to be near. Did not want to feel his heat or even hear him breathe. Not daring to look at the stallion, she frowned and stared out at the horizon. The sun was slowly slipping below it and the nightly chill was settling into her bones. Everything became quieter, stiller. Her body still angry, mad that this stallion was acting stupid. And he wanted her to come back with him. Yeah, right.
"If you had paid attention, you would know; wouldn't you?" Her words spat at him, rightly pissed off. Letting her head turn at a slight angle, eyes glared from the corners. "Since you are too idiotic to pay attention, it's Dementa to you." Her voice sprang out in a hiss. She may be petite and sweet looking, but ticked off in the right spot, she could act like the devil himself. Looking back to the horizon, she started to examine the details. How the colors blended in with the shadows. And how the stars very sneakily crept into view without you noticing. It was a wonderful expeirance for her and would keep watching until the stallion grew some intelligence.
abbydoodle96 - February 23, 2008 02:10 PM (GMT)
Whoops. I made her even madder at me. I had to watch my words as carefully as I could with this mare, because a couple times I said something, she got mad at me and backed away, and I didn't want that to happen again. I shook my had, and stood where I was. From now on, I was going to let her come closer to me, unless I really just wanted to move closer to the mare that I almost got a hold of. Well, that's what I thought. Was I really winning her over? Or did I simply fall into a trap of some sort? Or was she just playing tricks on me?
"Ok, Dementa," I said, nodding. I thought about complimenting the name, just to do it, but I decided against it. It might get her mad, and back away even more. I also decided to forget was I was thinking about just standing there, and took a tiny step forward, to show her that I wanted her, but I also was willing to give her the space she wanted. Why can't I think of anything to say? I thought to myself, but I knew the answer. She's so mysterious, and hard to talk to.
Mystery - February 23, 2008 03:46 PM (GMT)
Slowly, her anger disappeared. He had easily agreed to call her Dementa. That was a step closer to her, but he was still two steps back. Her body stood there motionless as she waited for his next move. Black optics still cold and angered, still staring and examining the horizon. Tail was ticking back and forth as her lips did not curl into a smile. Wait, through the ground she felt slight vibration. He had taken a step closer to her, was it forward or back a couple steps in the game? Her head tilted and looked back at him, so he did want her.
"You can win the game, just ask the question." Her voice was not angered, but seductive. Yet, she would not turn fully around. She had not yet fully forgiven him and would only turn her head to see him. The question is easy, just get me off this pointless land. She thought with a chortle bubbling from her throat. He did want her, wanted her to go back, but it would be his decision now whether she did go back. While she waited, her sculpted head turned back to look at horizon. It was almost nearly dark now, the last of the sun's rays just barely filling the sky.
abbydoodle96 - February 23, 2008 04:12 PM (GMT)
So I had her permission to ask her to go to my lands? Not that I needed permission, but it was nice to know that she would most likely accept, as it looked like she really wanted to get out of the Shadowlands, the claiming place for Dark mares. I'd want to get out, too, as everythin was boreing here. I wondered how long Dementa was here before I showed up? I didn't know, and I didn't care. Just as long as someone was here now.
"Want to leave this place and go to the Dimitra Cliffs?" I said quickly, not careing on how I said it. But there was longing in my voice, which showed her that I really wanted her to come back to my lands with me. I wanted her, and I wanted her to come back with me. I smirked slightly, as I waited for her answer to my quick question. I didn't want it to sound like I just wanted to get this over with, because that was not the truth. I wanted to be able to talk to her, and I wanted to be able to grow closer to her and to win her over. Take her back to the lands of Dimitra Cliffs; my lands.
Mystery - February 23, 2008 04:22 PM (GMT)
Her body suddenly turned around. Her whole petite frame was suddenly facing him. Hooves had grappled the ground and moved as quick as lightning. Mane went askew as tail kept flicking like she hadn't moved. Taking a slight shuddering breathe, a small and calm smile touched at her lips. Black eyes seemed to be cold no more, but inviting. It wasn't usual for her to be excited to leave a place, but this place was just dead and that she did not like. A shudder racked her body as he spoke, she could just feel the want he had for her.
"I would be delighted to go." Her voice warm and seducing. Letting herself take a few steps forward, she let her body brush against his larger one. Bay against black and white. Hum, foals? Bay paints? Wouldn't that just be interesting. Yet, that was not on her menu with stallions at the moment. It was just get to a home and see if she ever did warm up to the stallion. But this stallion was king and spoke french. Her two main things she loved about stallion; he had already basically won the moment he walked up to her. Did he know that? No, but she wasn't about to tell him.

{{ Shall we just go to the Dimitra Cliffs, or should I post one more post? }}
