Title: My Charm Is Your Pain
Mystery - January 26, 2008 10:33 PM (GMT)

The cascading light drifted down upon the magnificent stallion. Though the stallion did like this light, it wasn't his favorite. With it's array of colors, starting with the deep maroon gliding into the crisp purple. The large sun was now disappearing bringing it's array colors with it, the autumn afternoon turning into the autumn night of love. Well, not exactly a night of love, this stallion was certainly not feeling the love tonight. Of course the stallion had never felt true love, forever love, before. It was always get with a mare, like her and tell her that he loved her and when something went wrong, ditch her. And as the sunny blue sky that had been masked by those colors turned to that ebonite sky; white fluffed clouds skittered away to reveal the twinkling stars that could captivate anyone. Captivate anyone that could put a smile upon their lips and not be fake.
The towering trees that surrounded this male turned from a mix of greens and reds to that dark black as the shadows consumed all. The time of night where danger took hold and could do whatever it wanted. Not to this stallion, the stallion that gripped death itself and held it in it's arms, not for safety, but to know that life was real and reality wasn't imagination. What was reality? The drifting thought circulated through the brute's mind, over and over again, the question will never be answered, and the stallion knew it well. It stood there, eyes looking about, body rippling with a shiver, muscles clenching, eyes finally looking up to the stars. How the stallion hated stars, so much, it was a passion of hatred. They told so many truths and so many lies, of past and present. Sometimes, even the future.
This male did not like that at all. His own motto was live in the moment, not tomorrow. And when he knew what was going to happen next, he did not like it. Being oblivious of tomorrow's events was what sent chills of excitement up his spine and kept him going from day to day. Everyone he knew wished upon those stars. Hoping that love would come to them and wrap them in it's warm arms. He didn't want that, he wanted this black night and it's cool breezes. As the wind made a shushing sound and the world became silent.
A wind, meaningless and weak, grazed over the long, unkempt grass. Those shifting winds that brought cold and spine tingling ideas. What if you could use the wind to bring down others, to kill; but no, it would not do what it was told. Had a mind of it's own, like all others should have, but did they? No, they did not. Nobody did these days besides this stallion. This stallion stood on this long, unkempt grass, the blades he stood upon pressed into the earth, not necessarily killed or ripped up, but pressed in so it suffocated. The stallion's legs moved, hooves moving forward, closer to his destination. Those suffocating blades of grass sprang up, happy to be able to breathe again. Though, where the stallion now stood, he was suffocating more blades of the nearly brown, dead grass.
The light color of his coat was what brought other's attentions to him. How each sinewy muscle rolled over and under, clenching and unclenching. He was simply gorgeous as he moved and everyone stopped to see. Neck muscles taught as soft angled head was up and stayed up. No dominant stallion would make him lower his head. It was not of his nature nor was it the earth's nature to back down either. He would take every blow given to him like the earth was given when humans experimented. Tail of darker color swished and snapped at nightly bugs. Eyes of color and shade made him stop and look around. Not another body in sight.
Would his presence bring Alpha or mare?

((OOC: Yay! You brought the handsome stallion here!))
I'm worried to think that all we had was truly nothing
I watch life as a bystander with silent tears on my cheeks
I wait . . . but nothing happens.
People come and go with no true meaning
Every day is a living hell knowing that you're making your own life
On the outside I'm soul-less, on the inside I'm dying
I wait . . . but nothing happens.
What now? Will I spend the rest of my life waiting on hopless dreams?
Why should I even care anymore? I know you don't.
I dream of the day when you won't haunt me
I wait . . . but nothing happens.
I'm trapped in an invisible boundary. I scream for help, but nobody turns
I try to ignore your ever-lasting presence, but you're always there in the back of my mind
My head tells my heart to shut-up and move on, but the tiny fragments are too small to heal
I wait . . . but nothing happens.
I finally see your face again and my heart jumps to my throat
Again I wait, gagged and bound by that invisible demon as my life passes by
Again you haunt me, now more than ever as you seek vengeance on my shattered remains
I wait . . . but nothing happens
The pieces left of my heart are scattered and soaked in tears and memories
The never-ending question of: “Why? Why me?” plagues me silently every day
I seek comfort and none comes
I wait . . . but nothing happens
I’m still alone – no matter how hard I try to pick up the pieces
No one will ever know the battle I fight every day
I watch you there – smiling and blurring by with the rest of the world
And I’m still here . . . waiting.
This herd was growing quicker than I could have ever imagined! I scented the air and noticed that the newcomer was another stallion. However, I was not scared of being over-run, so I didn't care if there were more stallions in the herd than mares. I wasn't going to shun somebody from the herd just because of their gender. My cold, gray eyes gazed out at the stallion, and I called,
"Lo, there, stranger." I came closer and continued.
"My name is Allegro - alpha of these lands. What is your calling and your purposes here?" ((OOC: Sorry it's short, gotta go real quick!))

His attention was caught by a shimmer of light. The large black and white form glided closer to him. His head turned which brought his neck farther and then his whole body to face the stallion. When he stopped before him, his head did lower just a bit to show he wasn't of high dominance. Eyes looked the stallion once over and a half, just to make sure this stallion was Alpha. It looked like it, how he stood and how he spoke so surely of himself. Tail shifted back and forth as he listened and waited for his own turn to reply.
"Hello Allegro." He paused, he scooted just a forward. Did Allegro want to seem threatening? Regaining his composure, he shook his head just a bit before continuing. "I am Chantz and I've crossed the borders for a home here." Chantz spoke with confidence as eyes stared at the other stallion's eyes and never dared to falter. Letting out a sigh, he was going prove that he wasn't some wuss of a stallion. A stallion that deserved to be in a herd and could protect others if needed and maybe live peacefully with a lover. He always had problems with that. Always seemed too many mares were attracted to him.

Allegro nodded at the stallion's reply. He seemed like a solid enough lad. "Then of course, Sir Chantz, you may live here for as long as you wish. The herd is not large, but it's of good size. I'm sure that you will find that these lands are very accomadating." Allegro felt as if he could trust this stallion - especially considering that the only other stallion in the herd (besides himself) was not very respectful at all. "There are not many rules," he continued. "Simply, if you respect myself and the other herd members, then the same respect will be shown to you. Since you are only a commoner for now, you may have one mare under your own rule, but no more." His cold gray eyes continued to measure the stallion, but he was satisfied with what stood before him. "I believe that that's about it. Are there any other questions that you have for me?"

"that is fine." He responded politely with a brisk nod of his head. Ears flipped forward as rules were spoken to him. Respect. That was something that he had always learned. Though it was mostly only to the Alpha and only to select herd members. He found that sometimes there were horses that needed no respect at all and didn't deserve it either. Smiling calmly, one mare would suit him fine. "No, that is all. No questions." Chantz said with his smile warm and friendly. Chestnut skin shining lightly as he pulled up alongside Allegro. "And your lands are quite beautiful, if I may say." He commented glancing at Allegro before looking around the tall grass and blue skies.

"Why, thank you," Allegro said, a small polite smile on his lips. "Now, if you follow me, I'll lead you to the herd."
((OOC: Off to the herd, then! :D))
