A small, mare was wandering through the long maze. She was lost, sure, but she wasn't really worried about it. She was used to not really knowing where she was going. If one were to look closer, they would find that she was an odd-looking mare. No you're eyes don't decieve you - her coat was green.
She didn't like to think about her troubled past, but now, for some reason, her thoughts were buzzing with memories of the past. She started to thoughtlessly hum a tune, and the tune soon had words and she was singing. Her soft voice echoed through the empty maze as she sang.

No good deed goes unpunished. No act of charity goes unresented.
No good deed goes unpunished. That's my new creed.
My road of good intentions led where such roads always lead.

No good deed goes unpunished.
Nessa . . .
Doctor Dillamond . . .
Fiyero . . .

Fiyero!!

Her eyes started to tear as she thought of her long lost love, but she shook her head angrily, wiping the memories away, and continued on.

One question haunts and hurts, too much, too much to mention:
Was I really seeking good or jus seeking attention?
Is that all good deeds are when looke at with an ice-cold ey?
If that's all good deed are, maybe that's the reason why . . .

No good deed goes unpunished. All helpful urges should be circumvented.
No good deed goes unpunished.
Sure, I meant well.
Well, looke at what well-meant did.

The ghosts of her past were swimming before her eyes, and she was practically snarling as she continued.

All right, enough - so be it! So be it, then!
Let all Oz be agreed: I'm wicked through and through!
Since I cannot succeed, Fiyero, saving you, I promise no good deed will I attempt to do again.

Ever agan!
No good deed will I do . .
Again!

“There's such a sad love
Deep in your eyes.
A kind of pale jewel
Open and closed
Within your eyes.
I'll place the sky
Within your eyes.

There's such a fooled heart
Beatin' so fast
In search of new dreams.
A love that will last
Within your heart.
I'll place the moon
Within your heart.

As the pain sweeps through,
Makes no sense for you.
Every thrill is gone.
Wasn't too much fun at all,
But I'll be there for you-ou-ou
As the world falls down.

Falling.
Falling down.
Falling in love.”

Odd, not every day you would hear the voice of another singing so freely, and when you did, it was typically a mare or young filly playing about. It was obvious this voice belonged to a stallion, singing out to no one in particular it seemed. Beautiful lyrics were cast out to the skies, hoping to entrance anyone to start swaying softly to the slow song.
It was the kind of song you could imagine in your perfect fairy tale romance, dancing away with your prince in a world so perfect, so unbelievable, so enchanting, that you were afraid that if the music stopped your world would come to an end. A dying art, being able to sing like that, and not many could match it. At least, these were the opinions of the stallion who had been wandering through the winding maze of his lands before coming to the center, a castle like structure abandoned by humans and gods long ago. Why would he disobey every law to not cross into certain borders for certain alliances? Simple, he believed he had no alliance. And since he had taken rule of this land, there was no required alliance either.

“I'll paint you mornings of gold.
I'll spin you Valentine evenings.
Though we're strangers 'til now,
We're choosing the path
Between the stars.
I'll leave my love
Between the stars.

As the pain sweeps through,
Makes no sense for you.
Every thrill is gone.
Wasn't too much fun at all,
But I'll be there for you-ou-ou
As the world falls down.”

His singing kept him occupied and prevented him from being bored, but occasionally he would end up pausing to continue his song directly to someone if they requested it, though none seemed to catch his interest enough to stay too long. At the age of at least ten years, the stallion wasn’t his youngest, yet he wasn’t old enough to be considered…Well, old. But it was a bit old to have only known one love, and that had been years ago. He a stallion, but the love still just a three year old filly who knew nothing of the meaning of love. Yet even know his thoughts were brought back to her, but he roughly shook his regal crown to shake the memories away. Even with the rough shake, the shorter hairs of his grey mane still stood straight up, while uneven long strands fell around his neck. He looked like such a gentleman, and you could sense a royal air around him, so mysterious.

He wore a coat of silver grey, hardly destroyed by any scars visible. The few scars he did have had faded long ago, and blended smoothly. His legs were darkened by dark grey stockings to match his ashen muzzle. Stepping into a bit of sunlight, anyone could now get a good look at his eyes. How strange, as one pupil remains enlarge while the other shrinks down to the size of a pin head. Surrounding the mismatched pupils were deep pools of navy blue, the shade varying in different lighting. At the height of 17.3 hands, he was a bit tall for his breed of mostly Thoroughbred, his added height given to him by Percheron bloodlines. His mixed bloodlines gave him a slim physique, but with enough strength and power to take on those who challenged him.

To some, possibly many, he was quite the odd looking stallion, and has even had a few equines admit that he creeped them out when they first met him. Ah, but what would you except from the Goblin King? Sure, to many of the creatures that existed, he looked like a relatively normal stallion until you saw his eyes or his slightly jagged teeth. Recognizable in an instant with his eyes, those who knew of him knew well of his supposed powers. Even the mortals of the normal equines understood that he could just as easily take away something in a flash the second you turn your back. Goblins, they are known as, they are his eyes and ears everywhere. The words popular to jealous siblings, “I wish the goblins would come and take you away right now.” If they were said, more often than not the wish was granted. If the one who wished away with the foal wanted the foal back, they were sent on a ridiculous journey through his labyrinth before they lost the foal forever, as a goblin. As he continued on his way through his labyrinth, the ending of his song could be heard softly fading away…

Falling
As the world falls down.
Falling
As the world falls down.
Falling.
Falling.
Falling.
Falling in love
As the world falls down.
Falling.
Falling.
Falling.
Falling.
Falling in love
As the world falls down.
Makes no sense at all.
Makes no sense to fall.
Falling
As the world falls down.
Falling.
Falling in love
As the world falls down.
Falling.
Falling
Falling in love
As the world falls down.

His own song was soon met with another, by someone else's singing. The song of a mare, an angry one at that. Ears flicked back as he picked up his pace, not in the mood to morph into his owl form. Soon enough he had weaved through the labyrinth and standing direcly in front of the green-hued mare. Another one? Previously he had met the fairy-looking mare, with dragonfly wings and complete emerald coat. And hardly anything about this mare seemed mythical, aside from her odd coat.

"Well, well....What have we here?"

{lyrics from As The World Falls Down by David Bowie. Most of the post is premade, so...yeah.}

Elphie halted suddenly and flicked her ears back, annoyed. The stallion had surprised her, and she was not in the mood for surprises right now. However, she pushed her emotions aside, as she so often did, and said in an even tone, "Hello, there. You surprised me, good sir." She bowed slightly, just trying to stay polite. She glanced up and locked gazes with the tall stallion. She realized, for the first time, his disfigurment ((OOC: is that even a word?)), but she didn't care - she'd been ridiculed all her life for being different, so she wasn't going to hold it against him if he was.
"My name is Elphaba," she went on. "And I'm guessing you're the ruler of these lands - if you could call it that? What's your name?"

((OOC: If I give her powers, should I put it in her character creation profile, or no? I wasn't going to have her have any powers, but now she'll probably have one or two, if I can think of some . . . ))

((Yes, you should. ^-^ She can only have up to 2 powers since she's a 'commoner' though.))

"My apologies for surprising you miss Elphaba. Indeed, I am the King of these lands. My name is Jareth, more heard of as the Goblin King." He dipped his muzzle towards the maiden, as she had shown respect towards him he would do the same. That's the way he was though, he would treat others the way they treat him. Show respect to him, not just because he was King but even if it was to just be polite, he would show respect right back. Have an attitude with him, and he can drag you insane with an annoying attitude right back. With a small smile, he looked around at the labyrinth walls before looking back to Elphaba.

"Indeed, but this is just part of my lands. The labyrinth simply gaurds my castle and the herd from tresspassers, or at least stalls them until I can reach them before they reach the center. The entire land under my rule is the Underground though, stretches father than just the labyrinth. Now, why have you traveled into my labyrinth to begin with?"

She certainly couldn't be full mortal, not with an emerald-tone coat like that. And no one had wished away any foals recently, so she couldn't be hear to retrieve one. Might as well let her state her business here, before she'd go wandering aimlessly in the maze once more. With the dozens of traps set up around the labyrinth, it was surprising she made it this far.

((OOC: Okey, dokey! ;) ))

A small smile flickered at the side of Elphie's mouth, but it didn't last for long. "Well, as crazy as this may seem, I'm here to find a home," she murmured. "Besides, as you describe it, these lands could be quite interesting - definitely more than they appear." She paused, then added in a quieter voice, "And I'm always up for interesting."

"Oh these lands hold more interesting surprises than you could count..." Jareth smirked, glancing at the walls of the labyrinth for a few moments once more.

"If it is a home you would like, than you are welcome to stay here. So long as your loyalties are to me and such, you shouldn't have any trouble here. Unless you go looking for it. If you'd like, I can take you back to the castle and the herd. It'd be much faster than trying to figure out the labyrinth."
He chuckled at his trouble comment, before his gentleman side returned and offered her transportation towards the center of the labyrinth. It'd be a lot faster for him to touch his muzzle to her and to transport them towards the castle than to leave and let her wander around the labyrinth. It'd be a lot safer as well...

Elphaba nodded politely. "Of course, I will follow my new alpha. And I would much appreciate the help with getting to the herd." Elphie had always been known to get in trouble, and she liked to do things her own way, but she respected this stallion, and she would listen to him if it meant that she could have a home here. Plus, she had a feeling that she would not be able to figure out this maze on her own.

With a nod of his muzzle, he stepped closer towards Elphaba, touching his muzzle to her whithers. Only seconds later, he started to fade away, and since he was touching Elphaba, she was too. Before long the both of them had faded away, only to return to the center of the castle with the rest of the herd....

((Sorry for any godmoding there, but you can go ahead and post her with the herd now =) ))
