A relatively sized chestnut stallion stepped slowly through the sand. He had blazing white marks on all fours and one running down his face that shone brightly in the intense sun. He gazed at the strange soil beneath him. He had never encountered sand before! He sniffed at it curiously and sneezed as some found it's way into his nose. He peered around at the empty, desolate plain.

He whinnied loudly, pricking his ears as his voice echoed loudly across the empty terrain. He waited, but there was no reply. He whinnied again, but to the same eerie silence. He shivered and smiled gaily. "That's creepy!" he muttered to himself, laughing at his own silliness. "Well, no matter. My family will soon be filling this wasteland."

He started to trot around, testing out his hooves through the new, murky sand. The bright yellow orb above shone down merclessly on the stallions thick hide and made it gleam. As the stallion started into a canter, he spotted a strange liquid-looking appearance on the horizon. He ran towards it and soon found that it was a rather large oasis.

He looked around, confused. Where had water appeared from in this dry place? But he drank happily, dunking his sweaty muzzle into the surprisingly cool water. Soon, he found himself wading forward until his whole body was encompased in water. He shook his head and whinnied happily.

Yes, this was it. This was to be his new home!
