The brute clambered down the steep, rocky sides of his homeland as rocks slipped down and fell into the pile that was getting bigger and bigger. Upon reaching the bottom he stopped and sprang with power over the heap. Despite the huge leap, he landed softly and trotted off to find his favorite sleeping place, a clearing surrounded by trees, providing a sheltered place to rest. A noise behind him made the brute stop dead in his tracks, hooves sliding along the ground from the momentum. He turned to see rocks tumbling down the steep incline and Star sliding down along with them. He walked slowly toward her. Not too angry with me, I hope? Santico gave her an affectionate nuzzle before starting o walk back towards his intended destination.

I slid down and came to a halt as Santico spoke to me. "No..." I said. I started to think about it and I thought I could toughen up like he said and just enjoy having another foal. I watched him continue to somewhere. Should I follow?

He turned and licked her sweet face, and then walked back to the hidden sleeping place, knowing she would follow.

I smiled slightly as he licked my face. I decided to follow him to the sleeping area, hoping he wouldn't mind me following.
