Through hellfire and ice she raced, driving the brutes off course. A ledge lay before them, and the tattered being knew what she had to do. In blinding light she took her leap of fate, followed by that of the others. Below them a steep dive into the ocean blue. From this height it was fatality at contact. She did not resist it but let it happen, letting out a few soft words for her child to be safe. Then nothing more than a quick chill of the bones and complete darkness. From the waterfall close by stood a friend with her filly. Together the pair stood before turning away. Even at just a day old, the filly knew her mother would not be returning. Hungry and cold, the pair trudged off, hoping to find another member of the herd with enough support to care for the child of fate. Through opened eyes, saw only darkness and could feel no breath. Landing on the sand of the ocean bottom, in a pit deeper than before. To her surprise she could move with agility she before had. Rolling over, she jumped over the whale carcuss nexted to. Following a small glowing fish (it's Dory&Nemo'sfather! xD) she went on before coming to a council of equines. They all stood up as she approached, all of pure andalusian blood. All of them bowed their heads except for one, a dark rose grey male. In return she bowed her head as well. Their words came from a lunescent white stallion. He told her that she was unique and proven much in her lifetime, something only the original equines new about but came naturally to her. He promised to make her close to immortal so that she may live a long age without worry. She be blessed as the first equine since of gold to become a shapeshifter. Sophie asked why they would bestowed such gifts to her, and they simply denied that question, but said that she needed to be reborn for a reason that would become clear to her. When she asked about her child, they all looked away 'cept for the rose grey stallion before. The others vanished in a puff of smoke like magic. This one said he would make sure her daughter would be safe as long as she agreed to take his practice, the art of necromancery. Their the deal and was brought back. The leap repeated itself, but instead of falling she felt feathers and took off as a white eagle with red eyes. No one saw her changed except for those falling and one little filly from a waterfalll who looked to soon. A small cry came from her, but the shapeshifter could not place the name on the creature she cared for. Now another lonely road layed before her, one of myth... |

| [x]This is Katastrophe's. =D[/x] I sighed, but a good sigh. My heart had found a place where I belong. I'm not a light anymore and I'm not a dark as I once was, but a neutral at last. My father would be ashamed me for taking a side since I'm suppose to be a phantom... Suppose... I never wanted to be like him. Always alone in this world and never knowing what it means to be free, but I do at last. My duties to my herd are not really duties in my eyes since I have a home and it means I'll always have a home hopefully. Still I feel like I know more than most. I've lived as light as a child. The fond memories always with me of Magenta and Rebel Rose. Those sweet days on that meadow with the soft sounds of the stream cutting through the grasslands. The tender wild flowers sprouting upwards from the ground. Those memories also bring back aweful times when fire struck, obliterating the Winding Winds for good. My cries for Rose unanswered until my sire came. He brought me back to the lands I heir of. The heiress ever, but a dark heiress nonetheless. My wild temper and hateful side towards him always came out in the worst ways. It just got worse from there when I choose to deny the right to Oceanta and walked out those mountains into world I came from. Those months spent traveling taught me to be a rouge at last I suppose. It was only until i came back to my birth grounds to find that it was wasteland now did I cry for my family. At least it seem to get better as when I came to Forever Free. I found Crys, my past love, there and and my old "aunt" Magenta. Such a spunky pony, but I'll never forget her. She's lasting and has more balls than most stallions. She was part of my family there, but bliss over even in the dark herds. A storm from the desert drove Crys and I away at last. Then I came to Cythera and found Knives of the Nuetrals. He finally swayed me to find myself a neutral. I know all three by heart, but this I hope to be my true calling. Only if there were rouge lands would I possibly go there, but I'm here as neutral to stay for now. My thoughts interrupted by the sound of crackling fire from the sable above. They move in slowly and block the moonlight. In this darkness I have only the lightening to guide me now as my ashen coat is soaked to the bone. Splashes upon splashes I make as I run off towards the cluster of trees. I don't make it to the trees. Instead I stop and look around. There it is again. The call of another being. In pitch black I see the lunar glow of a equine drapped in white gold velvets across her body. Her call is not welcoming though. Challenging and hateful, but she knows my name and calls it out. Her scent is mostly drowned in the rain, but I can smell her still. And I know who she is at last. Watching her move into the cluster of trees, I feel her hateful gaze as she spats, "You're a mistake... A failer... A mishap.... You're still a damn Katastrophe after all of this..." I do not dare speak her name, but I know it is Zallarei, my mother. She vanished into the cluster as I stood out in the rain. The rain ended later that day and the elysian moonlight fell from the heaven's again and onto our earth. I went to peak into the cluster and saw my mother's body lying on the ground. Her heart no more beating and sounds of her rythmic breath nothing. Passed away in the storm I moved up to her corpse. The white tassels clung to her neck like needles and her sable hooves half covered in the mud. Those hooves I remember with such force that I still cringe and turn my neck away. My neck on the right side holds the long and rigid scar that she marked me with the day of my birth. The day I took the name of Katastrophe. She was my mother, a cruel mother, but nonetheless my mother. "I still love you though, Zallarei," I spoke to her softly. "You made me who I am. You made me stronger and for that I love you. I just hope that the gods seek sympathy for you as I do.... I finished and turned around slowly and started to head out. I stopped though at the edge of the cluster. "Mother... I finish the sentence before turning away and returning to my homeland. |
