Wow. I had a home now. I was led here by Dante, the alpha of these Victorian Shores. I looked around to see if there was any other horses here besides me and Dante, but there was none. It looked as if I was his first mare here. I smiled and smiled with relief. I couldn't belive I finally had a home.
I started to wonder. What did he consider me? Just another equine in his herd, or his mare who he wanted in his herd?
((Shortness O.O))

Dante approached the mare with soft, slow steps. Upon reaching her, he gave a soft lick to her cheek.I do hope you find it to your liking here. The brute circled around her once, body close to hers almost touching but not quite; a suggestion of what was to come. Not now perhaps, unless she so desired it, but later. You are the first in my herd. The words came flowing from his mouth like milk, a whispered seduction entering the mares sculpted auds.

I smiled as he licked my cheek, his voice flowing into my audials as he spoke. Something I've always wanted to hear. Someone talking to me. "Looks..." I said as I took a glance around the land, trying to come up with a word to describe it. "Great." I nickered and smiled, giving his a soft nuzzle. So I was the first one here? He chose me to be his first mare here? I was surprised, but greatful to be in such a great home with a great stallion.

A large black and white filly trotted along the shore. Suddenly, she spotted the small herd that Dante had told her about.
"Hello," she called to them tentitively.
"I'm Heather. I'm new here." She glanced out across the calm waters and smiled, closing her eyes and taking in the scents of the small land. She liked it already!

I smiled as I saw a mare come near the small herd. I nickered in greeting to the newcomer and smiled. "I'm Beautiful Rose, Rose if you would prefer," I said. "Nice to meet you, Heather!"
((ugh))

((OOC: I have those kind of posts, too, don't worry. :P ))
"Hello, Rose," she said, nodding politely. "It's nice to meet you, too." Her heart was bursting with happiness as she joined the other two members of her family. How could life get any better? She knew that this was where she meant to be. This was where she was meant to live for the rest of her life.

Heather looked around. She was bored. She'd been standing here forever, and no one had been speaking for quite a long time. She glanced towards Dante and Rose before her. She was less and less certain about these two.
She wandered towards the lake before her, bored and not knowing what to do. Heather dipped her maw towards the water. She dipped it in, but did not drink. She brought her dripping muzzle up again and flicked her ears around. It was so beautiful here, but so eerily silent, too.

Dante gave a small dip of his head, a graceful, rather kingly gesture. I do hope that you find it to your liking. He gave a glance in Heather's direction, orbs catching sight of her submerging her maw into the cooling water, so stagnant and tranquil on the still day. He took a few steps toward Rose, giving a teasing tug on her tresses, a tender lick to her dark head. He rather liked the company, and wasn't planning on letting either go. Yes, one could call it the beginnings of love.
A thought struck him, and repeated itself, like a broken tape player. Why did he choose to have no alliance? He wasn't tainted, though he could for sure have his moments. He tended to lean toward the light hearted. Maybe it was because he simply didn't believe. A horse was a horse. One may have evil thoughts, and do evil deeds, but did that make him evil? No, it made him a horse that does evil things. A light horse was generally very kind and such, but they had their moments as well. The thoughts ran about recklessly in his mind, and so he shoved them aside for the moment, in bliss with the lovely mares.

Heather was surprised to find the stallion at her side, but she recovered quickly and smiled, whinnying and pulling back on his mane in playfulness. She nuzzled his neck tenderly. She closed her eyes and took in his scent, just happy to finally have a family. And she really liked Dante . . . and Rose, too. She pulled away and nickered happily, bobbing her head up and down. "Of course these lands are to my liking," she said. "They're perfect. A little small for a big girl like me, but I love the view!"

Heather's smile evaporated slowly as the stallion again fell into silence. She sighed heavily, but continued to keep one eye on him. It was true that she /did/ love this place, and she could possibly even be falling in love with Dante, as well, but she was so bored here. Things barely changed and anymore, it was just her and Dante. She wanted to /do/ something, but she continued to simply sit there - collecting dust and not getting any younger. How much longer would she be able to stay here without dying of boredom?
W Smack - January 31, 2008 09:03 PM (GMT)
Heather looked around disparingly. Her once gleaming hide was dim and seemed somehow dusty. Her once bright eyes were sullen and sunk back on her once beautiful face. She sighed heavily and muttered quietly to herself. "What am I to do? What am I to do?" She looked behind her hindquarters heistantly. She had heard that her distant older brother had entered Hopeless Hearts not long ago. Maybe she could go and visit him? He was sure to give her homage, and he had to be in a better home than /this/.
She took one last look around the terrain. She had loved this home, and she had loved Dante, but her home was no longer. She would have to leave it behind her. She took in one last scent of the sweet air, and then turned with a wisk of her tail and left.

((Since this land isn't active, and Rocka hasn't posted the alpha any time soon, this land will go back up for claimance within a week if nobody posts here by then.))
sassaboo - February 21, 2008 12:00 AM (GMT)
Alright, it has been well over a month since Dante has been posted at all. And the lands are pretty much empty since Heather left. The lands are back up for claimance. Dante is no longer King, I'm sorry.
