What's your take on the 360? Any thoughts on the games, Microsoft's strategy, the hardware itself?

A 3.2 ghz system with all the bells and whistles (features that interact with many media types), being released in late 2005 is impressive for its recent past. The hardware is really well made, except for the last-minute-rushed backwards compatibility and things only Wii can do. It has its flaws, but I'll just mention the strengths.
The launch titles are decent (Perfect Dark Zero doesn't look bad from what I can tell). This time they learned from their mistake and put out around 20 games upon its initial release (aome good exclusives). The 360 has begun to intrigue different companies that would have no part of the first Xbox. Live Gold should be a huge hit. The 360 has tremendous potential to do well. It gives game developers more space and flexibility with creating and programming, since the C++ (?) is easier than Sony's languages. They can do all they want without excess blu-ray space.
(I still don't see why people would need 50 gigs to make even the longest, best looking game in the world; people have lives and all the time they would want for a game can still fit on a DVD disc: Front Mission 4 (80 hours) is a good example.)
Anyway, the 360 should do well at least here. But it may be the first to go before PS4 and Wii 2.

Out of the three new systems the 360 is 2nd on the list for me. Yes i know i will own one down the road, but i allready own 5 games for the system. Need for Speed, Kameo, PGR, Perfect Dark and Dead Rising.
The graphics are amazing and i love the feel of the controller, and X-Box Live is the best way to do online gaming ( for me anyway ). The only thing i don't like is the overheating aspect of the system. At my store i would say we take back 3 units a week that are still under warenty that don't work anymore. As I call it "they have the RED light of death"
I still want one but i am going to get a Wii first.

I've pondered getting a 360 off and on for awhile now, and it could be possible that I'll get one for Christmas. Money has been tight. I've been in the process of moving, doing some landscaping, some wifi setup, and many other projects up higher on the list than the 360.
Gaming-wise, I don't see much I like. I'm not in to call of duty or battlefield (although I did like the LAN aspects of battlefield 1942 for the PC.) For the most part, I'm in to rpgs and some arcade-style fighting games.
I don't like football or basketball games but wouldn't mind some more of the outlaw series games to come out on the 360.. Tennis, Volley-Ball... To me, Outlaw Volleyball on the first xbox was the best game they had on it. It wasn't even about the skimpy women, but the gameplay itself, as well as a "fairly good" music selection.
Just hoping that there will be a good selection of non-action RPGs.

I bought one on a impulse buy at Bestbuy and I am pleased with it. it seems to work good. I have Perfect Dark Zero and it really not all what they say it is. I've had alot of other projects mainly collecting for my Lynx. Im gonna pick a a few games today. I Bought the premium package and I had to buy the remote seperatly. The remote is awesome for it.
