Title: beware the finds of March

Kain - March 5, 2008 03:31 PM (GMT)
Most 360 games don't interest me, so instead of screwing around with its bc "feature" I decided a long while ago to get an Xbox 1 for cheap. I didn't get everything at once, but I gathered them over time.

Xbox games that I got with the system-

Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance
The Bard's Tale
Halo
Ninja Gaiden Black
Max Payne
ES 3: Morrowind
Fable
LOTR: The Two Towers
Half Life 2

Much to my surprise- they're dirt cheap!

This oughta last me a long time- they're all long games after all. :D

The Bards tale was funny and fable was great

The bard was soo funny, he just wanted to score with women and summon rats. I think his voice was played by cary ewles?

I'm probably the one person in the world that didn't like fable. I found it a bit too short and pre-determined.

Yep. Cary Elwes has to be one of my all time favorites. He's been great in many well-known films. (Liar Liar, Men in Tights, Twister, etc.) My favorite movie he was in is The Princess Bride. Compared to the ugly fashions and hair styles of most people then, I thought he looked great. That movie is timeless! (and that ugly old thing- BOOOOOOO! lol)

Can't wait to play Bard's Tale...

SOM was definitely one of the best SNES rpgs....

I haven't found much as far as games go besides a namco and sega genesis multigame system (ya know, the ones that take AA batteries and have composite video and mono audio outputs..

Also got a linux book and some russian language audio sets today at some thrift stores...

Well I'm glad you asked! :D

Marvel UA- $20 Gamestop
FFMQ- only $15 Replays
SOM- $40 (it won't sell for less anywhere) The Nintendo Repair Shop (screw ebay)

And for $60, also from the Nintendo Repair Shop, I had to get the Retro Duo, the latest bad boy on the market. It puts FC Twin to shame. Retro Duo plays US and Japanese Famicom/SFC titles with ease. (Don't know about PAL.) It just came out, and 2008 technology makes it all possible.

Now I know what you're thinking Malakai- what about the different pins??? No problem- It reads pin converters like an open book! and since the RD doesn't have region tabs to keep you from playing Super Famicom games, you can play anything you throw at it.

Next title in line- Final Fight on Super Famicom- It might just be better than the US release and compete with the Sega CD version, who knows?

Well I know my library just quadrupled! B)

My copy of SOM came up missing several years ago. I don't know how, don't know exactly when, but I haven't been able to find it... Hopefully, it'll pop up somewhere one day... Was a great game..
