In a surprise twist, HD-DVD has started gaining in market share once again, almost back to what it was before the big Warner Announcement.

In other news, Toshiba has said it will be airing HD-DVD ads during superbowl commercials, in probably one of the most bold and expensive ad campaigns for either format.

Rumor has it that Sony will be releasing a new PS3 model sometime soon and dropping the 80gb version completely. There could be a 120gb and 160gb version, and some sources are saying the price could be as low as $299, but I'm personally doubtful of that. If that were the case and they kept backwards compatibility, even I would buy one.
Sony has officially denied the rumor of the PS3 going to $299.
I dont own one yet, and did plan on buying one, but if its 299 and backwards compatible it would be a lock. I need some more rpgs.
What RPGS? I checked ebgames, and they only have two listed as released: Oblivion and Enchanted arms for PS3. Those are already on the 360, and you already have them, right?

If they know what's good for them, they'd better reconsider. If they change their minds, they would do the world a big favor by selling a $299 unit with a full bc feature- stop obsessing about being ultra-tech-superior- it would be worth the sacrifice to turn attention to bc features and not to mass storage space, so why not stick with the gameplan that worked before? Everyone would buy one- I may even consider one!
Yeah for some reason Square Enix hasn't been around to give Sony a lift (I've only heard of FF 13, but I don't know the details.) The exclusives lineup is pathetic. So is their library.
I can only wait to see their next blunder.
