Title: November Finds

No video game finds as of yet, but I did find a Harman/Kardon cassette deck at a thrift store a few days ago for only $6. I took a chance on it, thinking there's no way this piece of rich stereo enthusiast piece of equipment would work. I gave the heads a quick cleaning, and it works great. It just has one led light out, but I'll replace that.

For those that don't know, Harman kardon is the most expensive personal (as opposed to professional mastering equipment) stereo and home theater equipment known, better than denon and pioneer elite.

This is an upgrade from my Onkyo, even though I love Onkyo and Marantz stuff too.

Today, I found a daewoo dvd player, two dvds (dark water, the aviator), a vhs tape (graveyard shift) and a few other things I can't remember now heh........ still, no games....

I did notice, however, that the local wal-mart is displaying three consoles for the holidays. The wii, the ps2, and the 360. No DS, PSP, or PS3.

Nothing for me but I haven't been really looking. Not much money. Oh, wait! My wife did give me EA Playground for our 1st anniversary.

Finally found a game I've been looking for around two years.

Sega Mega-CD: Alshark

Two years ago and before, Alshark use to be all over ebay. In the last year and a half, it's pretty much only been on ebay two times as far as I can tell. The last copy, the seller wanted way too much money ($90ish) for. The price use to be around $45 to $49.

I really don't know what made Alshark so rare and so pricey, especially when there obviously were less copies of Dai Housin Den, A-Rank Thunder, Genghis Khan: clan of the grew wolf (aka the blue wolf and the white stag), M&M 3: Isles of Terra, Nobunaga no yabou: haouden, Psychic Detective 4: Orgel, Last Armageddon Gaiden, and probably a few others made.

Alshark has been released on several platforms. A few of them are: X68000, Mega-CD, PC Engine Super CD-ROM2, FM/Towns Marty, etc. According to Moby Games, there was also a DOS version released.

Alshark is said to be the longest Sega CD RPGs ever made, with over 60 hours of gameplay.
