Am i the only one to see the Wii as a system that will be played every blue moon, when a new first party game comes out? I have had my Wii since launch and the only games i have played on it are Zelda, Wii sports and Wii play. All the other games i would rather play on other systems with regular controlls.
A good example is Manhunt 2, It's coming out later this year and i want to play it, but i am going to play it on the PS2. I really don't want to wave the contoller around to play games unless i have to ( Nintendo first party games )
Even when Smash Brothers comes out i hope you can use the classic controller or the gamecube controller to play, otherwise it's going to suck.

Super Smash Brothers Brawl won't use the Wii remote. You need a Gamecube controller to play it. I don't know if you can use the Classic controller, though.

Wait a sec.
Two-hand controller for a Wii game? You all just want another Gamecube fighter.
I'm sure you can still do plenty of special moves and combos with the Wiimote and nunchucks, since there are enough buttons to use. Button mashing has been done to no end the last 20+ years- why not do something different?
All you'd have to worry about is the wrist strap again.
Have more faith in Nintendo.

I am all for somthing different, I said i will play 1st party Nintendo games on the Wii, like Zelda, Metroid, Mario but there are some games that i don't want to do that with and smash brothers happens to be one of them. I want regular controlls for that game otherwise i don't think it will be that good. I trust Nintendo to a point, not a very good track record lately unless you are a handheld system.

I still say give the Wiimote a chance. Before you know it, you'll forget about the controller and it won't be so bad. Have you played the Marvel game? That may give you an idea of what's to come from the big N.

Remember slow first party game lineups are not new to Nintendo. They can only make so many at a time. They have been known to start slow and then finish very strong. Wii is no different. It hasn't even been half a year yet since release and you already seem to be unhappy with it. I say give it time, it will flourish as the past Nintendo systems have.
By the way, third party Wii games don't suck, companies are still adjusting to the Wii's capabilities- give them time.
