Title: FC twin 'console'
Description: Anyone here played it?

I've been looking to buy an SNES again, even though I've owned and sold one before- I just can't abandon it!
I scrolled on ebay looking for one, with the list set from lowest to highest and found an FC twin console- for a decent price- somewhere between 30 and 40 bucks.
It plays both regular 8-bit NES and 16-bit SNES (only the U.S. releases, though it's all I need). (I think it's safe to say that Nintendo's patents have expired or this wouldn't be going on very much.)
I would like to know from any of you whether you've played it, how you like it and why/why not.

I've seen it and considered it several times, but I'm selling off my nes and probably snes collection.. So, I've no need for it.
I've read several reviews about it though, and it's suppose to be a solid unit with pretty good compatibility (98% NES or so).

I have a SNES I could sell you if you are interested.

Honestly I'd just stick with a legitimate console. More reliable, and more... real. Those clones NEVER feel like the real thing, they're all slightly off in one way or another, and since it's a common enough console just buy a real SNES. They're pretty dang-nabbin' cheap at this point, anyway. lol

Nothing wrong with enjoying Nintendo a little differently and legally. Why is emulation so much more tolerable everywhere? I just want to see if any of you know anything at all about this system "clone". At any rate, I think it's worth a second look.

I have nothing against clones. Personally, I'd like to see more clones, especially multi-system clones. There were many lawsuits in the 80s due to the atari clones and expansions. Hell, Atari even sued activision I believe it was, for making third-party cartridges for the system. Then they sued coleco for making adam and coleco expansions to play atari 2600 games on their console and computers, as well as the coleco gemini, which was a stand-alone atari 2600 clone. There were also a few licensed clones as well (sears tele-games)..
I'd love to see a system that would play all of the older cd system games at least. Neo geo cd, sega cd, turbo grafx/duo, sega saturn, jaguar cd, dreamcast, etc.... Maybe some expansions to allow carts to be played from many of the older systems as well..

Actually, you may find some paydirt at ultimateconsoledatabase.com. They have a shitload of consoles and clones like you've never seen! I recall the Genesis 3 and JVC X'Eye (Genesis/Sega CD player) being some big time licensed clones. It's amazing what third parties can conjure up!

yeah it's cool, I don't have to switch anything on my switchbox to play the two different systems.

I still wonder how close to the real thing that clone is. No flea markets with $20 consoles here (sigh). My problem is price; ever since I found out about them, the prices have gone way way up. Ebay charges either at least $60, or around $20 with $40 shipping.
I also have the original Nintendos, but this thing really stands out.
Let us know your overall take on it when you get through with it, Steve.

Well after playing around with it for awile, all of my games, both Super Nes and regular NES work just fine with it, there are no problem with graphics at all and the sound if good, for what the games are.
For the 8-bit games it works just as well as any top loader NES, some games were being a pain in the a$$, but i got them to work.
all in all i like it and it's less ware and tare i need to put on my original systems, as a matter of fact i put the origianls back in there boxes.
