I see that the official release of the new Magic Engine-FX emulator is scheduled for today (Christmas) and was just wondering if any one ever bought the original Magic Engine or any other emulator before.
The new one, ME-FX, is actually a PC-FX emulator. The PC-FX was NEC's next PC Engine-Like 32-bit gaming system, in Japan. It resembles a white computer tower and had several anime-inspired games.
I've never had or played a PC-FX or playdia myself, and there are only a few games I would like to try on them.
I don't feel right about paying for an emulator, and I don't think I'll ever plunk down money for something that's, for the most part, readily available on the 'Net. No matter HOW perfectly stable it is. I just won't do it.
A machine, sure. I've got a couple NOAC machines (NES On A Chip), one specifically for my FamiCom games... but not just software.
