BFME II finally arrived this morning, and I had a chance to play through the first section of it, when you defend rivendale and destroy the goblin village, etc. This game seems to have gotten a lot of good reviews, I think mainly because a lot of people seem to think you can't make a good RTS on a game console.

It plays like a lot of PC-Based strategy games, control-wise. Graphically, it's ok, but one thing that makes it not really stand out graphically is that you can't zoom in enough, to check out fine detail or your army. I consider that a big issue.

Secondly, when you're moving the directional cursor, it seems to go a little too fast, and you could lose where your army is if you're not really paying attention.

Third, the game is very laggy. It's still playable, but it jumps quite a bit and has these little mini delays/lag the whole time while I played. This probably isn't that much of a problem, and I might be just nit-picking, but with the 3.2ghz CPU, you'd think it wouldn't do that.

For strategy game fans, I'm sure it's a must buy, but I would either buy it used on ebay or wait until it comes down a little bit. I bought mine on ebay for $34 shipped, and in the store it's still $59.
