just added them up and i am only 27 games away from having 4,500 games in my collection.

by the end of the year i would like to hit

300 PS2 games ( have 284 )
600 PSX games ( have 593 )
250 X-Box games ( have 225 )
150 Gamecube games ( have 131 )

Maybe a stupid question, but do you have insurance for that collection? Its worth so much money probably

yes i do, as a matter of fact i am in the process of moving the whole thing to another room in the house so i have more room, and we had ADT come out and install an extra alarm on the door and windows.

collecting is going to drive me to the poor house.

I collect a little bit of every thing myself, from comic books, 8x10 autographs, stamps, coins, sports cards, non-sports cards, and video games, and also a bunch of musical instruments and equipment, computers and servers, parts, LPs, 45s, books and magazines, etc.

But guess what? I don't have insurance on any of it. My mother use to say "you should get rid of all that stuff, because if the house burns down, you'll have nothing." I've already went through one house burning down and losing almost every thing.

I first started with baseball cards, and stuff like coins, stamps, comics, and other cards just were kind of the same type of collecting. The LPs, I didn't just start collecting to collect, but I had a record player and I loved listening to music. Use to find them at flea markets for $1 or .50 cents some times, way cheaper than CDs, but eventually, there were over 100, and now there are probably around 800. Beatles, stones, hendrix, doors, etc.

I don't buy many LPs or other stuff much any more, but at one time, I'd buy cases of records for cheap, just to pick out the few records that were good or worthwhile and throw away the rest. So, in that 800 or so record collection, many thousands were thrown away. No one wanted the opera, orchestra, and religious stuff. Near the end, I did collect a few mozart, bach, and tchaikovsky.

Baseball cards at one time were worth money, until ebay came along and ruined it for all the kids that collected them for many years, in hopes of making it big one day. Guess I'll have to wait 20 more years or give them to the kids or grandkids if/when that happens lol.

I hit one of my goals yesterday when i went over 600 PSX games. 2 games away from 300 PS2 games.
