After playing this game for about a week and half i am sorry to say that this game is not all that great. I Love the Mortal Kombat series and the amount of fighters is very cool ( over 50 ) but the controll's are sluggish, there seems to be a second delay for pulling off the moves. And no i am not using a wireless controller. The Konquest mode is cool however too short in my opinion, finding the relics around the game i found fun, but the whole conquest adventure mode was just too easy.
Now as for the Kombat Kart racing, Why? the puzzle modes in MK Deception were very cool but this is a waste of time that dosn't even unlock anything or have any sort of circuit racing. You race one race and that's it. If you want to race another one you can but i can't see why you would.
Now the Fatalities, Remeber back in the day when each fighter HAD there own fatality and they where the best part of the game? Not here, every fighter can do anything with the fatality system now, It's based on a max 9 step combo which sucks.
Now i would say that the game is great for 2 players ( except for the fatalities ), but i would wait and pick it up used later on for a much cheaper price, unless you are like me and had to have the game when it came out.
I use to be heavily in to MK1 - Had the sega genesis and sega cd versions when they come out. Was disappointed in the sega cd version, because it was pretty much the same game graphically, except with loading times. Back then, they talked about cd/digital music, but also back then, midi music is midi music. Doesn't matter if you record it on to a cd or not.
Mortal Kombat II, I thought was a huge leap forward for the series. I loved the 32x version of it. Great game! But then came mortal kombat three, and that's when they started tinkering with graphics and started to transition in to the 3d world, with every new release. That ruined it for me..
