Hello all! This is a tutorial for a fun effect I created while messing around in photoshop. Here is a signature I created with the effect, so you can see what it looks like:


Procedure:

First, I start off I do File>New. I select 1024x768 so I can crop out a specific section in the end for whatever im using it for. Also, select the bubble for Transparent (I like to have my starting layer unlocked).


Fill the background with Black using the Paint Bucket tool.
(throughout this tutorial Black is my primary color and 00BAFF is my secondary)


After that, go to Filter>Render>Lens Flare and select the 105mm Prime bubble. Set the brightness to 160% and center the lens flare in the document. Then hit OK.

The next step is going to Filter>Pixelate>Color Halftone with these settings:


At this point your image should look something like this, but larger:


Your getting close to the end, keep going! Now you need to Filter>Stylize>Glowind Edges with these settings:
Edge Width: 1
Edge Brightness: 5
Smoothness: 1

Now you should have the basic effect. It is now left up to you to crop out a section of it to be what you want.
