First of all open the following picture in photoshop

Then in the layers pallet double click on the layer to unlock it...
You will notice that the lock sign has gone away this is good,

now go to (Image – Abjustments – Desaturate)
The picture should be in B&W
now go to (Filter – Blur – Smart Blur) and use the following
1)Radius:(5.1)
2)Threshold: (12.7)
Quality: low
Mode: Normal

Next apply the color filter : Image – Abjustments - Photo Filter, giving an orange color to the the desert.
use the following...
Don't check the color keep the filter oprion checked...
You will see a drop down menu if its not already chosen choose Warming filter (85), and increase the density to (65%).
If its not checked you should check the (preserve Luminosity), and press ok...

Blur the sand’s edges, where it touches lightly the sky, using the instrument Blur Tool.
first of all zoom the picture from the navigator, for the blur tool use a brush size of (12) and (0%) hardness, and a strength of (18%)
now we don't want any big moves just slightly brush the sands edges to the top to make a windy effect...

By now you should have something like this... user posted image

Now open up this picture in photoshop...

and then go to Filter extract or just press (Alt+Ctrl+X)
and choose the (zoom tool (Z)) and press on the picture (5) times

and then choose the (Hand Tool (H)) and move to the models head and then choose the (Edge highlighter tool (B)) use a brush size of (11) and brush the edges of the model because we want only the model not the background...
and after you brushed around the model choose the (Fill Tool (G)) and fill the inside of the green area no the outside
ex pics for people who don't know what I meant...

I didn't take my time doing this but you should this is just an example just to show you
