Got my membership through last week. I have a 52 reg td4 auto, I've had general grabbers At's fitted to the 16 inch rims and I have a spare wheel mount CB aerial which i got off of ebay.
This is my first Freelander had discovery's and defender 90's before.
I want to give my freelander a 2 inch lift and fit larger tyres when the bank balance allows. I just want to use it for green laning and playing in the winter weather. I use it every day to drive to and from work a whole 6 miles each way.
If anyone has anything elsethey think I should do to improve its green laning abilty please let me know.
In future I may also fit a snorkel and perhaps some under body protection.
Anyway hello to you all . An although I have read a lot of bad things about the freelander's i really enjoy driving mine.

I am a new member too, Freelanders are formidable offroaders, and yes they do have problems, but, no more than a defender or a disco.
Where abouts in the country are you? I am in north Staffordshire, I have V6 and have the same tyres on that you have, best buy ever, they make LOADS of difference, I am too lookin gat the 2" lift kit and snorkel, but I want the snorkel that is on the V6 Freelander Rally car, low profile looks loads better than the mushroom top pipe's, but i can not find it anywhere.

great find, thats very similar to the on eon the rally freelander, I will dig around for a UK supplier, or approach them direct.

Try Tornado Motorsport. They are manufacturing kit for Freelanders (lift kit, etc). Might be worth asking about snorkels.
