Hi All

I have my name down on the Reserve list for the Mac4x4 for 2010 and have been told it's probable that i'll get accepted and i just wandered if anyone from the freebie Club has ever done it or if anyone is interested in doing it, i have gone threw the Mac4x4 Gallery and have only come across one Freebie and figure it's about time more Freelanders get in there and show em what we can do (Don't Laugh)

I think that founding Chairman, Julian Read, did it in the Camel.

Hi

A few years ago (poss around 2004) a NE area member did the Mac 4x4 in his freelander. They obtained sponsorship from the local dealership and I believe also from other companies.

I remember they did say it was hard work, but they did enjoy doing it.

I do not think they modified their vehicle, but did get a new set of tyres and a full service before doing it.

Hope this helps.

Mark

Hi

Yes it does help thanks!! I know the Freebie is not as off road compatible as most 4x4's but for me thats all the more reason for doing it other than the macmillan cause of course.

I'm in the process of replacing the sump guard, making a VCU guard and making a roof rack, i have the tyres. Hopefully i get in!

Thanks for the reply's!
