Title: MM overlays/routes
George Stoker - January 18, 2007 01:53 PM (GMT)
I have just purchased a new Sat Nav set up, A Mio P350 which has built in GPS and I added MM2004 software.

Still getting used to it but 1st impressions are very good.
Does anyone have green lane routes on MM overlays for NE region??

Good buy on the gps front. MM is great. Only trouble is that is you cant use route created on other versions such as 2005. Sorry but I cant help you with NE routes. Have you tried joining the mud-club forrum? There are members all over the uk who may be able to help.
I was thinking about whether we could have a folder just for club members where we can store any route we have so any club members who are visiting different areas could download a route for that area. What do you think?
P.S. do you geocache?

I have a good one in Yorkshire you can have if you want .. will be doing it sometime this year myself I think. Let me know and I'll e-mail it seperately.

Have a look on www.geocaching.com and www.geocacheuk.com. Its electronic treasure hunting. Now you have your gps you can have some fun. That reminds me I wrote an article for the club mag and forgot to send it to Geoff explaining what it is. I'll send it in to him to put it in the next mag. Several club members enjoy it already.
I'll watch with interest for the new folder.

Thinking more about a new folder - we could not do it here unfortunately.
The way this site works is that it is hosted free on a server and they get their money from the ads you see! (best option available at present)
I can set a download folder on my own web space and make them available there or maybe we could get some space on the main Freelander Club web server (over to you Simon :D )

I think you'll find you can if you export/import the overlay as .csv file rather than an .mmo file.
I've never had any problem transfering overlays between different versions since I discovered this.
