Title: Billing Or Newark ?

As some of you may have already seen, there is a 'Battle' on for the weekend of 17-19 July 2009.
LRM are hosting a show at Newark named Landrover MAX.
LRO are hosting a show at Billing named LRO Billing Show
I am being constantly updated with the day to day battles. Who will win the war ?????
The Freelander Club committee has not decided yet.
We will keep you all informed when a decission is made.

Personally Newark, as I have heard too many bad stories about Billing, not just from the 4x4 world.

I afraid Newark is an extra 180 mile round trip for me so won't be going this year. Will wait and take a decision re Billing nearer the time,

Mag has the AGM noted at Billing, page 20.
Mag also has Club Events noted as Billing renamed as LR Max at Newark.
I will need to know for definite before May 1st (cut off point) so the Members can be advised of premises we will use.
I don't mind either area. It's still a nice drive!

I dont understand why anyone would want to do that sort of thing.
I am hoping to attened a show this year.
Is it usually for a weekend? Do members camp over night?

Peterborough is laid back too.
If shows were Land Rovers ....
Gaydon would be an immaculately restored Series I
Eastnor would be a nice looking Series III Carawagon
Billing would be a Range Rover V8 mud monster. In lime green.
Peterborough would be a 90 Tdi with an internal roll cage.

IVE BEEN TO BILLING FOR 6 YEARS AND NEVER HAD ANY TROUBLE
the trouble is you will get chav scum at any show all you have to do is turn up in a landrover and go on a nicking spree all weekend thats the trouble with scum maybe if this country wasnt so BLEEDIN P/C CORRECT SCUM like this could be SORTED OUT!!!!!

I think the scum went as far as nicking WHOLE landrovers, won't be risking mine there :angry:
