Title: L2b
Description: Who's going?
Stevie C - September 30, 2008 02:39 PM (GMT)
Hi all,
So who's off to Brighton on Sunday? I'll be there but I'm taking my old Series 3 this time, (it was Freelandy's turn last year). I'm not camping, just pitching up at Crystal Palace early on Sunday Morning - hopefully I will be rolling up the canvas on the back & sides so that my two rear passengers can get great big lungfulls of exhust fumes!! :D
Anyway, I'll come and find you all on the club stand B)
Have a safe trip.

With luck (and if they let me in!) I will be there early with my gazebo for the club stand.
Is it possible to get a list of members beforehand, and a list of non-members, as we should have a certain number of spaces allocated.
We need to squeeze in as many as possible.
If you are coming along, let me know please!

I'll be there. Not doing the run - going straight over to Brighton for a look-see.

One problem Robin...
If you aren't doing the run and haven't got a pre-arranged entrance pass, you won't get your car onto Madeira Drive.
No doubt other parking spots will be available - at the City's usual prices!
Good news is you'll be welcome on the Club Stand (assuming they let me in!).

The other half and I will be there. We're staying with my partners daughter overnight on the Saturday in the old Royal Arsenal buildings and driving over to Crystal Palace first thing Sunday...
Have finally got the mud off the hippo from last weekends adventures at Abingdon but not sure she'll be in concours condition for the beauty parade on Brighton sea front!! B)

I'd heard that you could park anywhere in Brighton, and that some nice men with a large truck run an excellent (if costly) "valet"parking service ;)

Well, that was a little damp want it? Took my canvas topped Series 3 and it didnt leak at all!!
I had a look in at the club stand, lots of Freelanders & a dodge thingy, hmmm ;)
Not many of you about when I dropped in - (must have been in the warm somwhere eating fish & chips) exept one chap that I natter to every time we meet, but humble apolagies, I dont know you name! but you have a Freelandy2 with a HUE reg.
Any way, good to see you and dispite the weather, it was a good run and well attended.
Kind regards
Steve

Freelandy2 with a HUE reg? - that's Hugh!
A dodge thingy? - Did you have to? Dodge it, I mean...
Thought it was parked up and hidden by all those Freelanders!
OK, I know the L2B is for Land Rovers, but our club is open to all - even non-Freelander owners. :)
If it's authorised for access, then access is allowed! :D

This year's London 2 Brighton...well what can I say...mmmmm.......
WET
I think I can now write a comprehensive guide to tea drinking facilities in Brighton as I wasn't able to pass an establishment without stopping in for a cuppa to warm up and to dry off a bit :D

Just a pic of my soggy hippo at Brighton. Better half at the wheel for the drive back to sunny Oxfordshire, (I'd had a Guinness or two.......).
