Title: Fun Run/laning For Sue Ryder Care
Description: Sunday 12th October

Some of you may remember me posting up at Christmas time regarding a fun run in aid of The Yorkshire Air Ambulance, well this time it's the turn of Sue Ryder Care c/o Manorlands Hospice of Oxenhope.

The run is on Sunday 12th of October and starts in the village of Crossroads taking in the sights of the Bronte countryside around Haworth, Oxenhope and Thornton Moor.

The exciting thing about this run is that we have been in touch with Yorkshire Water and they are opening a lane across Thornton Moor for us. I've calculated this lane to be approx 2 miles and it's unchartered terrortory for me so I don't know what to expect so it should be fun. The total run length is usually around the 20 mile mark.

There is no fear of being stranded as most of the vehicles taking part will be tractors so there are plenty of recovery vehicles should the un thinkable happen.

There is an entry fee of £6.00 per vehicle which includes refreshments and food for the driver, additional refreshments and food are available for occupants of vehicles at £3.00 each.

The run is sheduled to commence at 11am but we ask that people turn up early from about 10am to sign in (for legal purposes).

I can e-mail anyone with more information and entry/sponsor forms to help speed the proccess up on the day or if they wish to raise some sponsor money. Or you can e-mail me and request them at bronte-tractors@tesco.net.

Here are some pictures of the Christmas run to give you an idea of what we get up to and I hope to see some of you there, it's a good family day out for all and any vehicle is more than welcome.

Right guys, we did a walking reccy of the lane last night and it is deffinatly Freelander safe and there is a nice big boggy section in the middle so be prepared to get your freebie dirty.

Lets just hope it doesn't dry up between now and then, though I doubt that very much in this country.......
