Title: The New Game
Elzior - February 2, 2008 08:29 PM (GMT)
Here's how it works. You will choose your character's name (first and last), gender, and allegiance (The Alliance or the Goblins).
You will then choose one of three defining charactaristics ... Agility, Strength, or Magick.
The advantages of Agility are speed rather than power. You will be able to escape, maneuver, and dodge your way through battles than winning them with pure strength. You can also use ranged weapons with great accuracy and precision. However, you will not have as much health as a Student of Strength.
The advantages of Strength are sheer might and power. You will have greater health and be able to wield stronger weapons. However, Students of Strength are vulnerable against magick attacks.
The advantages of Magick are healthy combinations of knowledge, wisdom, and power. You will be able to focus your energy to cause the supernatural, unlike the common Students of Strength and Agility. You can also mix potions, summon animals, etc. However, Magick is a gift fueled by energy. When your energy decreases, so will your Magick power.
If you choose agility you will be able to pursue skills such as Bowman, Athlete, Martial Artist, Light Armor, Swimming, Flying, and Cunning.
If you choose strength you will be able to pursue skills such as Axeman, Swordsman, Spearman, Heavy Armor, Influence, and Guard.
If you choose magick you will be able to pursue skills such as Elementist, Priest, Conjurer, Sorcerer, Fortune, Wiseman, Calligrapher, and Potionmaster.
Unlike the previous attempt at FI, this will be more openminded and realistic. Not every ability, hit/miss ratio, and quest will be mathematical and set in stone. It revolves more around you and your enjoyment rather than your inability to defeat a Swamp Spirit because I said so.
Also, combat will be real time -- and battles won't be random -- and you will be given more options, such as using the environment to your advantage, calling for aid, hiding, distracting your foe, etc.
Answer the questions above to complete your character, and you'll start training at The Academy.

alright the new game is posted. this is the story you are making for yourself. you have plenty of freedom, but aren't allowed to set up boss battles, give yourself items, etc. The game may have unlockable mini quests along the way, but there's a basic journey. When you complete Chapter 1, you will be PMed with the password to unlock Chapter 2. There are other such unlockables. Good luck, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to PM me or send me an email (I check email more).

according to your category, choose 3 skills you want to be BEST in. you will automatically do all of them, but you get 3 that you're better in than the rest.

great question ... it's possible. perhaps when you reach the level "Master." I don't know though ... then it doesn't really separate the skills. Not for now at least.
