It was clear daylight out and Carter was outside the hut studying Marine Biology. Right now he was studying the anatomy of a shark: How it works, develops, hunts, cooperates, and lives. Most importantly, the Water Vascular System that fish seem to have adapted to have in their bodies. Leviathan was just inside the hut, sleeping in a bed that Carter had made for her. Ever since the choosing, Carter has become more aware of people. He doesn't want his dragon ripped away from him and sent to Galbatorix and there for killed or used in bad, unimaginable ways. Sketching out a detailed picture of a shark and its internal organs with it's skeletal system, Carter then will study the function of it's organs and the Water Vascular System.

Dawn broke out hours ago, and Leviathan is still sleep dormenting in her bed. A shine of light peered through a crack in the hut, illuminating on Leviathan's head. Leviathan peered open one of her Granny Smith Apple Green eyes. Wondering what that light was. Noticing it was morning, Leviathan got up from her bed and stretched out her legs and wings. It was a week ago before she had hatched to a rider and wandered among the lands. Soon, she'll be larger than the hut and Carter will be able to ride her. Leviathan trotted to the door and looked about to see that Carter was just on the other end. Steeping down the stairs she trotted over to him. Listening to the grass being stepped on, Carter flinched only to see that it was Leviathan. "You frightened me!" Carter said as the wyrmling made a little grunt as she came near. Placing her head under his arm, Carter set aside his work and picked her up, placing her on his chest. Leviathan's tail swung from side to side, showing that she was occupied and happy.

Carter looked up at a noise of trotting horses and whinnies. "Go. Go back into the hut. The Kings men have returned!" Carter told Leviathan. Snarling and grunting Leviathan got to her paws and ran into the hut. There she crawled into a secret chamber that was in the house under the counter, where she was able to get under the floor boards. "What brings you here?" Carter asked getting up and walking over to one of the men whom was riding a brown horse. The man did not answer but scowled upon the land.
"Yes, yes, yes. It is good. There is a rumor of a new Dragon and Rider just coming up this way. Have you seen them or herd anything about them?" One of the Kings men asked.
"No Sire. I haven't, but I'll keep my wear abouts and inform you once I've herd of their existence or hiding place," Carter said to him.
"Well, then. We leave. Carry on now men. This man has no use no more. I see you to it," the man said. "Come now, we ride!" Inhaling, Carter smiled and headed back to the hut.
"It's okay now, you can come out!" Carter told Leviathan, in the sign that the coast was clear. Leviathan perked her head up and squeezed through a tight hole, exposing herself. Smiling Carter stroked her head and left back to his work.

If the King was after Dragon and Rider, then of course, Electra and Knight were not far off for the ride.

Knight circled the tiny village, taking all of it in; the tree's, the huts, all of it. It was hard not to notice him flying around, his shadow was huge. Slither and his dragon, were not far from the city as well.

The little green dragon wandered about the lands, not far from Carter. She wsa out in the field chasing some field mice. Leviathan stopped when she herd wings beats and a large shadow. Rushing to her paws and limbs, Leviathan raced over to Carter, but she knew she wouldn't make it on time.

Knightsaw the little green dragon, his eyesigth was wonderouse. He dived and cut off the little dragons escape route. Knight threw back his head and let out a roar for a signal.

Slither and eractos were still in the air. but too far for anyone to see them.

Carter took his attention from the drawing board and looked over to see Knight roarong, and Leviathan startled. Getting up Carter raced over to her, but was unable to reach her. "What's wrong with another Dragon and Dragon Rider? They will keep coming and there won't be enough forces or Empire to stop it," Carter yelled. Leviathan cried for help, but couldn't get around the large dragon.

"Eractos dive!"Slither yeleld over thwe wind, Eractos did, as he did he rammed into Knight, but knight just staggered back while eractos was thrown back. that left an opening. Eractos stood up and slither yeleld something. He lept off eractos, "run fly go."
what of you?
"don't worry just go1"Slither snarled he knew they wouldnt kill him.

Eractos flew, and knight followed. Eractos went in the spine, being smaler more agile, he lost knight who gave up chase.

meanwhile, Slither was busy fending off solidiers, three of them ganged up on him, Steve, nick and Jack. a different one was forcing him nito the center of Carvahall. his name was Dave. Slither found himself on the ground his sword in hand, and dave laughing at him.
"My last resort."slither snarled.
"Eh?" dave said.
"Brisingr Adurna." Using slitrher's knowledge he had said 'burning water' and now Dave was burning and drowning at the same time until he lay ther dead.
Slither's sword slipped from his grasp and he rolloed over, unable to move.To weak to move.

Steve snared and kicked him in the rib cage and nick just said,"He killed Dave!"

Steve snarled and said, "how bout we punish him like we do others."
it wan't a question.
Jack held out a whip that was horid. The part that was horrid was the end of it, he tip of a dragons tail.
Slither groaned and tried to get up, but couldn't.Jack laughed and Slither yeleld in agony as the whip cut open his back.

Carter saw Jack whip Slither. Leviathan didn't like to see someone who helped them being punished for it. Leviathan snarled and raced over to them. She knew that she was smaller, but that gave an advantage. Charging up behind them, Leviathan leaped and bit Jack's leg, sinking her teeth into the flesh as she felt the warm blood bleed from the wounds. Carter yelled, but Leviathan couldn't hear him. Carter got to his feet and raced over to them, knocking Steve out of his way. As Steve fell to the ground he picked up his sword and held it to his throat.

Slither tried to get up, too weak fell before he could even get to his hands and knees. He looked up to see what had happened, saw carter and leviathen, who had nick? where was nick.
Nick was behind him and had draged him to his feet in an instint. He held a dagger at SLither's throat and faced Carter.
"Jerk."Slither snarled at nick.
"Oh shut it."(lol quote form pirates 2.)Nick said and grabbed Slither arm and twisted it bhind his back. He kicked Slithers leg out form under him and Slither's twisted arm went up and pain shpt through his arm.

:Now, we can amke a deal."nick said to Carter,"Give us steve and we will leave with the rider to Helgrind."

"NNNOO!" Slither yelled,"I wpon't go to helgrind, you'll have to drag my dead corpse there if you are going to take me there."
"I said shut up!"Nick snarled,"or," he continued,"We can leave steve and still take the rider to helgrind."

"No i told you you son of a arse, i won't go to Helgrind alive, or in one piece!"Slither yelled.And he wouldn't, ERactos wouldn't either.

"Right now, no one cares what you think."Nick said.
"I am not thinkling, I WILL NOT GO TO HELGRIND YOU SON OF A B..."His words were cut off as Nick gagged him.
"Finally now you'll shut up."Nick said. Slither glared at nick. The rope in his mouth hurt but he said not.

"WEll, what are you going to do?"Nicka sked carter, He kept an eye on leviathan, he wasn't going to be bit, and if he had to he'd kick the little lizard.

Slither struggled but to no avail except that the knife blade cut him, not bad but enough to draw some blood.

"Would you quit it?"Nick said.
"SLither tried to same something, sounded like,"I'll kill you and then we'll see who has the last laugh."But seeing as it was hard to talk with a rope in your omout fpr a ga, it sounded differetn and nick was laughing at him.

Stebe on the other hand didn't move, he knew the position he was in ws bad and he wasn't going to struggle.

jJack kicked leviathan off him. and turned to find her missing, he looked over at carter and saw her wth him."Why don't we just taike the feriggin rider to Helgrind right now?"he asked.

"Because,"Nick said,"WE will give this guy a chamce to give Steve back. which he probably wont."

"Slither snarled again and tried ti kick nick, missed and nick hit him in the head with the hilt of the dagger. Slither winced but didnot lose conscience. Waht a reliefe.
"Stay back eractos."Slither tiold his dragon.
Father, what of you, they are hurting you i know it even if i can't see it.
"Just wait till i tell you to come."sither said.He wasn't going to helgrind, not alive.

"Not a chance. Are you risking his life just over a rider, when there are two in front of you?" Carter asked as the gedwëy ignasia glowed a yellow green as he clutched the handle. Leviathan disliked the man that had kicked her and once she is older and much stronger she will indeed kill the man that had harmed her and another rider. Carter rose the sword higher to his mandible. Smiling he walked over and picked Steve up by the collar and clutched his hands around his neck with the sword's blade resting only centimeters from his throat. Leviathan snarled and bared her teeth at Jack and then looked over at Slither. Maybe - since she is small - she can help out Slither. She can sneak through them and get to him with out notice. It's worth a try.

Looking up a Jack and Carter, Leviathan found that now was a good time. Backing up into a barrel, she turned around and snuck through some porches and went under them. Soon with her sneaking around, Slither came into sight. Brushing the dirt and cob webs form her scales, Leviathan got from under the boards and silently walked over to Slither. There she placed her paws on his shoulder and nuzzled her muzzle under his chin.

"We were givin orders to capyure one rider, not two, no one said anthing about two."Nick said,"And besides, Galbatorix can find use for someone like him."He kicked slither in the side,"He knows aloy about dragons, all by instinct, isn't that right, slither."
Slither snarled and did nothing, so Calibur was with Galbatorix otherwise he may have not ben found like this, and Carter not botherd.

When Leviathan came up to him, Slither looked at her and gave a weak smile too, his side hurt. He kept grinding his teeth against the rope trying to break it. He was halfway through the gag.

The flat part of the dagger and slither's throat pressed against his neck. A sharp pain went down his side and he gave out a yell of agony, Nick had kicked him hard a little to hard. Warm blood ran down his side amd onto the gorund. Why hadnt anyone else come out? like roran or horst? Yes slither was gratefull for Carter coming, but even he wasn't enough to take down so many soldiers.
'if only i can get the dagger.'Slither thought, if he got that dagger, the rest would be easy, slit nick's throat call eractos and then well, if he had the strength the then would come and he wouldknow what happened, but right now, he was suprised he hadn't falen over unconscience.

(Steve's if he had one, but if not then his own from his belt. But, why wouldn't a soldier not have a sword. In the Eragon book every soldier had a sword with him/her!)

Leviathan climbed on Slither's shoulder, she had herd his thoughts. How couldn't she, she is a dragon and can hear them if she pleases, unless the rider is trained well enough to speak to her back, but she it yet to young to do so, unless she herself is trained well enough also to do the same thing.

Carter placed Steve down to the ground, shoving him to his knees. "If Galbatorix did not know of me, then why did he send his King's Men after me and out to me house? If he did not learn of a knew rider in Carvahal, then he wouldn't have done so," Carter explained. And with Leviathan being so small, she can be easily manipulated and used as evil and fight with Galbatorix. Since she is young, Galbatorix has a longer time to teach her so to be bad and to work with him than he can with Slither and Eractor and Helgrind or any where.

Leviathan went over to his side - carefully- and placed her jaws on the dagger, while Slither kept grinding his teeth against the rope. Leviathan pulled the dagger out and fell to the ground with an unnoticed thud. She was far to light to make a sound with her walking, running, and or falling. Walking over to Slither, Leviathan went to the ropes that tied his hands together and tore them apart. There's always an advantage of being so small! Going over to Slither Leviathan took the dagger and handed it over to Slither.

:I don't know."Nick said,"it doesn't really matter how we found a dragon rider, we just found him so who cars?"

"Thank you,"Slithr after finally biting through the rope said to leviathian. He took the dagger and waited. Nick stood in front of him, shouldn't be ahrd. slither, lept to his feet and placed the dagger up to nick's throat,". Looks like the table turned. Idiot, you forget about dragons."
"What?how?"Nick asked.

Leviathan turned around and faced Nick. Snarling she sat down in front of him far from his reach. Reach in hands and in kicking. She wasn't going to be kicked again. If so, then there will have to be a punishment for doing so. Carter smiled and picked up Leviathan. "Seems to me that your not as quite intelligent as I thought you were!" Carter smiled. Leviathan looked up at Carter with her Granny Apple Green eyes and then at Slither. Leviathan seemed to have grown though by the looks of it. Carter felt it also, she did get bigger. Leviathan was growing slowly, and harder for Carter to pick her up. Soon, maybe a day from now, she'll be as big as a horse, maybe even a bit bigger than that. Leviathan jumped out of Carter's arms and wrapped her tail around his legs, sitting down, looking up at Nick. Like she was laughing in her head at him.

slither smiled then his mod changed,"Now, tell me, is that sly old shade Calibur under Galbatorix's comand?"

Nick didn't answer.
"you know theres two ways i can kill you, fast amnd painless, or slow and pain full."Slither warned.Either way he was going to slit the mans throat.

"Y..yes1"Nick said stumbling over his words.

"Thank you."Then he slit nicks throat and nick fell to te ground drowning in his own blood.
Then exahustion took Slither. He finally realized how tired he was, how weak he was and fell as his knees gave out. he collasped right next to his sword. He lay unconscience.

A snort and grunt came from her mouth as she looked over at the dead corpse of Nick. "What the heck!" Carter said to Steve, he could feel Steve trembling, hoping that he didn't get the same as Nick did. Smiling Carter knew not and would only do it like wise. Leviathan was hoping not so for him to do it. Feeling weird Leviathan got up, now she was the size of a dog. She wasn't growing very slowly, she was growing at a very medium paste. Carter smiled at his young dragon, soon she''l be pretty large and capable of flying. Right now she was incapable of flying or was she not?

Knight and Electra had gone back to Gil'ead.

Eractos tried to speak with Slither, but Slither - unconscious - couldn't answer. That made Eractos worry.

Carter now couldn't pick up Leviathan, she was the size of a do and is getting bigger by the second. Walking over to Slither and Eractor. Leviathan trailed behind and walked up to the dragon and rider.

Slither didn't move except his breathing.

Leviathan curled her tail around her legs and looked at the mighty dragon Eractor. Smiling she then looked down at Slither. "Your welcome to stay with us. Tomorrow, Leviathan and I are leaving. People and the King already have notice on both of us," Carter said to Eractor. Leviathan grew and grew over the minutes, and soon she'll be larger than him, and then she and him could go places they could ever imagine. "You decide." Carter said motioning his hand for Leviathan to come.

Looking up at him Leviathan sprouted up and trailed behind him, her tail swung from side to side as she trotted over to him, then it swayed as she walked. "Leviathan," Carter said with a sign and a nod to his head, "your going to get us into trouble one day and you or I won't be there to save each other and your growing to fast!" Leviathan perked her head up and looked up at him. "Don't give me that!" Leviathan smiled and went into a run through the field, maybe now was the time to experiment with flight.

Slither groaned and rolled over getting to his feet, "That was ... I dont know."
Eractor laughed at him.

Carter raced after her, catching up to the young wyrmling. Making grunts along the way, Leviathan leaped into the air off the side of the hill. Carter stopped at the hill's edge and looked down, she was no where in sight. "Leviathan?" Carter called out. But, there was no answer. "Levia...," before he could finish Leviathan dived up from the side of the hill - still the size of a dog - and landed right in front of him. Laughing with joy Leviathan raced down the hill and both headed towards the hut. "Wait, I'll be right back. Stay here," Carter told her. Going back outside, Carter raced over to Slither and Eractor.

Gasping for air, Carter walked over to Slither and spoke, "Thanks... thanks for saving our lives!"

Slither looked at Carter, "No problem. Dragon Riders should help each other, not fight each other. Besides, I don't really want to see someone hurt by Galbatorix."
Eractor tossed his head, We fly? He asked.
"Thanks for helping me with the soldiers." Slither said. "Just a minute Eractor."

"Would you like to stay at the hut for tonight. Tomorrow Leviathan and I are leaving Carvahall?" Carter asked Slither. Leviathan sat on the hut floor looking about the room, then she herd noises outside the house.

"Sure." Slither said. Eractor was being more impatient than usual.
Please can we fly?"
"Fine!" Slither said he finally broke, listening to Eractor be impatient was annoying for him. He walked over to Eractor and climbed up into the saddle, not bothering to strap his legs in.

Grunting she saw shadows outside of the hut. Carter as well felt something strange was going to happen. "Wait!" Carter halted Slither. "Something doesn't feel right." Over at the hut, Leviathan was beginning to get frightened and Carter could feel it. Snarling two figures stood at the hut's entrance. Looking down on Leviathan they bagged her and placed her on the ground, gripping the handle of the sac. Looking around, they strangers leaped into the air and flew off.

Carter raced down the fields and headed towards his hut only to find her gone. "Leviathan?" Carter hollered. "Leviathan?" He cried out once more. The creatures that had taken her were the Ra'zac, the only creatures that can jump and fly. Some of them have mounts, while others just jump and fly. Going down to his knees, Carter never thought that someone would take his dragon and now he was angered with Galbatorix. Gritting his teeth, Carter went to his room in the hut and pulled a box from under his bed. The box was long and black with red strips and engravings on it.

There was a dragon engraved on the box, blowing fire at another. Unlocking the locks on both ends of the box, Carter opened it. Inside the box, was a long black sword. The blade was black, with a white handle. The sword belonged to his father which had a white and black dragon named Razen, his father was a rider named Eratticus. His father left him years ago to for to war, but after that he never saw him again. There are high chances and hopes that he is still alive, but few do believe.

Carter gripped the sword's handle and pulled it out form the box and held it in front of his face. Anger coursed through his veins, along with corruption and deception. Carter has never been so angered in his life, only because his dragon was taken from him. "If it's war he wants, then it's war he's going to get!" Carter snarled placing the sword in his belt. Walking outside of his room he saw Eractor and Slither outside the front door waiting. Carter looked down and walked outside to meet with them.

Slither was ticked as well and had his own sword out, the red blade flashed and the purple hilt seemed to cut into his scin, he didnt notice. Eractor had his teeth bared and his neck arched.Slither had pulled the saddle off, why? Only he knew.

"I say we go after them and get her back!" Slither hissed.Yeah he was ticked, beyond ticked.
Eractor nodded in agreement.
"You coming?"Slither said to Carter.
Eractor spoke to both of them and said,"I'll rip his heart out through his throat!"
''Youll have to get to him first!."Slither hissed.

"I am coming, but I am doing it. I'll slit the traitos legs until he bows. When he rises my blade wil thrust through his heart, once I pull it out.. off with his head. You can get the rest, but the main one is mine," Carter snarled. The blade on the sword may not match his dragon, but it was a perfect fit. Eragon's sword, Zar'roc, had a red blade, but Saphira was a blue dragon. No matter, Carter was not to be intruged by some idiots. He will slah their throats, slit them open, and rampage through cities until he gets his dragon back.

"I'll rip his heart out of his chest. Then we'll see whose playing games," Carter growled as she walked over to Eractor and Slither. "Can your dragon carry two? If not, I have a horse out back. If he can, I will let my horse free."

"Oh he can carry two."Slither said smiling.What eractor lacked in size, he made up for speed and streangth.

Mounting Eractor, Carter nodded to Slither and Eractor.

ERactor lept into the air and with one sweep of his wings was leveled out and flying quit fast. Soon the Ra'zac were in sight.

Carter took out his sword as the blade ran a black. Gritting his teeth, Carter got ready.

"now!" slither hissed to Eractor.
Eractor gave a powerfull sweep ofd his wings and was right on the Ra'zac.

Inside the bag, Leviathan was growing. But, the Ra'zac did not have the bag. Carter looked around and saw each of the Ra'zac were empty handed, besides their weapons. Gritting his teeth, Carter drew his sword and walked towards one of them. Carter swore he herd Slither telling him "No", but Carter wasn't listening and was to trapped with anger he wanted to release it on the Ra'zac. The Ra'zac came hurling at Carter, but he had more up his belt. Swinging his sword in circles, Cart ducked as one of them charged at him. Taking the handle at the end of the sword, Carter slammed the handle in his gut and shoved the other end in another's chest. Kicking the the Ra'zac at the handle end, Carter pulled the blade out of the others' chest.

From behind him a Ra'zac leapt from it's perch and came right at Carter, but Carter did not look. As the Ra'zac came the right distance, Carter swung his blade and sword around only to slice it in half. Blood was shattered and spread. Some of it was on his clothing, sword, and face, the rest was on the ground or spurting from their wounds. Carter stood grasping for air, clenching onto the handle as hard as he could. With a tight grip, Carter lifted from his spot and looked around. He knew there were more, there are more than three Ra'zac in a pack. They always travel in large numbers, not small. Groups do better in numbers.

Slither was taken by suprise as one lept at him, he swung his sword and missed. the ra'zack took and slashed open his arm, not a ddeep wound, but he coudnt use his right arm.
He switrched the blade to his left and this time had his element of suprise,"Brisingr!" He yeeled and th sword lit in fire he shoved it right through the Ra'zack killink it instantly.

Ra'zac were every where. Every where they turned there seemed to be one. All they did was stand there and snarl, moving from side to side, waiting. Carter stood in a ready position with his sword out. One came towards him with it's weapon drawn. Gritting his teeth, Carter placed his sword out in front of him. As the Ra'zac went to attack, a fully grown green dragon swooped from the sky and tackled the Ra'zac with it's own teeth. Tearing it to shreds the dragon turned around and looked down on Carter. Looking up at the large green dragon, with yellow belly, Carter placed his sword at his side.

"This is insane!"SLither yelled as more Raz'ack came. Eractor snorted in his aproval and tore one in half with his claws and sliced one open with his tail at the same time. they hadnt seen the green dragon.

Ra'zac came up from behind the green dragon. Snarling, the dragon stepped on her right side, swinging her tail at them, slamming them against some trees, cracking their spines. Snarling, the great dragon let out a roar and tore ones head off and threw it off some where. The Ra'zac began to deplete. Some wanted to fight, but there was two dragons and they couldn't stand a chance against them both. Snarling, the green dragon swiped it's paw at a group of Ra'zac and locked her mouth on others, throwing them into the woods.

Eractor roared and the Ra'zack were gone. /slither leaned against Eractor's neck.

The green dragon looked down on Carter and snorted. "Who are you?" Carter asked.
Isn't it obvious young rider? I am Leviathan. Your dragon, and you are my rider! Leviathan smiled. Her giant green wings shot from her side and she held them out. Now, we ride.
"Not yet, I am afraid that not all has left."
The Ra'zac? They're long gone.
"No, no they're not. I can feel them around here." A crack of a stick sounded in the woods, along with moving bushes. But, the things is, there was no wind.

Slither sat up and looked to his left, He was yanked from the saddle from the right by a Ra'zack. He hissed and tried to get back up but the Ra'zack had placed a foot on his chest.
"You come with ussss." It hissed at him .
