Slither sat against a tree. Eractor was hunting. Slither kept looking at his arm, it stung like mad. Scars crisscrossed along it, some were deep, some shallow. He was covered in scars, burns, you name it, but the most visible were the scars and burns along his arms. The ones on his back would frighten most, he looked up as his dragon returned, empty clawed.

Azura and I rested above the mountains crest and ledge. Tired as we were from so much flying and all, there's bound to be something to eat.

"Go on Eractor. You'll get something." Slither said.
As you say father. Eractor repilied and the dragon left.

Resting on Azura's stomach, my knee was couressed at my chest, as my arm rested ontop. Picking up rocks, I threw them over the ledge, not knowing what they'll hit.

One of the rocks fell and landed by Slither,"What the..?" He looked up, waved his arms, hopefully it wasn't someone he'd not want to meet, "Hello!" He yelled. Then, leaving his sword in the ground, he walked behind a tree to get his pack.

Hearing the "Hello" I perked up over the edge, but saw nothing, maybe it was just my imagination or my brain playing tricks on me.

He found the pack, looked in it for something; he started throwing junk out. It landed in the clearing, Nope not in there, he thought.

Azura got up unfolding his wings. High and mighty, he stretched his wings as a loud boom cracked from them as they were brought in the air. Opening his large mouth, exposing his large, sharp teeth a grumble came from his mouth as he yawned, Azura shook his body with tension and ease as she walked over to me, crouching low allowing me to mount onto the crest of his neck. We had no saddle for me to sit upon, but I was more comfortable without a saddle to sit on. He walked over to the ledge and cracked open his wings again, lifting them high in the sky. A rock tumbled from it's place and rushed down the side of the mountain. Slouching his back, Azura leaped from his hind legs as his wings thrust at his side, diving down the mountain's edge.

He walked a little farther, found it, his bow. Earlier he had got frustrated about something and thrown it.
Slither picked it up walked back toward the area he had been in. Startled to see Azura he backed up a little too fast, tripped over a tree root. He fell hit the back of his head on the tree trunk and there was a ripping sound as a twig riped the back of his shirt; he fell to the ground unconscious.

Eractor realized something was wrong and yelled FATHER! He turned around, back toward the small camp.

Thrashing his wings to his side, Azura dived up turning a sharp turn, slamming his paws at the mountain's edge as he turned around. Beats and pounds drew from his wings as he flew over Eractor and Slither. The grey belly of the dragon was exposed as Azura flew over them, with I looking down at them, saluting. Azura dived again, but this time diving further up into the sky up above the clouds.

He never meant to put Slither unconscious, all he was doing was lifting off the ledge. Spreading his wings out wide, exposing the white membrane, with the black lining the ridged tips of the membrane, Azura dived lower spinning around tucking his wings to his side. Once he reach full potential in his speed, Azura spread his wings out once more creating a loud boom. Shrrg and antelope scurried for their lives once the herd the sound. A large shadow covered the land as Azura flew by, watching animals scurry over rocks, boulders, stumps, and logs. Maybe some bushes here and there. Azura flapped his wings at his side, causing him to dive up. As he reached the point to where Eractor and Slither were, his wings pulled in front of him, shifting them the opposite way. Azura's hind quarter's or his back legs, gripped the mountain's edge, followed by his front paws. Crash landing, Azura looked up at Eractor and then down and Slither who just lied there.

Eractor, despite his small size of 7 foot reared up on his hind legs and let loose a roar. He was being foolish. Azura culd pin him easily.
But he was protective.

Slither still lay there unconscience.

Azura didn't need to stand on his haunches, he was taller than Eractor. Snarling a loud bellow drew in his throat, becoming louder. I sat int he crest of his neck, stating out of it. As Azura watched the smaller dragon let out it's roar, then closing it's mouth after Azura, arched his head back and let out a loud, bursting roar that made me cover my ears. Birds flew from their perch, rocks tumbles, and I could feel vibration coming from him. Azura stood on his haunches as well, showing his balance and grey under belly. Slamming his front paws on the ground he noticed he threw Eractor off balance, You do not fright me dragon. You can stand and roar all you want, but I have done nothing but my own duties in my society, Azura snarled as his mouth cracked open.

Eractor got back up, he snarled. I will do as I am to do, prtotect my father. He wasn't about to let this dragon drag him down, he would protect Slither.
He thought Katelin like Slither's parents, that's how he veiwed all humans. But Slither, evil and lovers of pain.

As I sat on the crest of his neck, I was getting worried. Azura would kill a dragon if they had pushed him too far, and that's where the dragon is going. Azura's blue and black eyes aligned with Eractor's showing that he was indeed not afraid of him. I have done nothing to harm you and you seem to missunderstand that concept. My rider and I were only taking a daily flight and looking for food. It's harder than it is for a vegetarian abored, Azura barked. If you are to fight, than you will not preval another word, movement, or emotion. I'd be wise in your encounters.

Smoke trailesd from Eractor's nostrils, but he made no movement. He turned and walked behind Slither.
Slither groaned and tried to get up. He got to his hands and knees, the torn shirt fell, reveaking the scars of his past.

"I may not understand what you have went through," I said, "but, somethings I do not wish to speak to others. Only Azura knows what I am talking about, and if I could and wish that I can tell that to you to make you understand that others like you have cost their lives for more than what is known." Azura nodded and knelt down for me to dismount. "For years have I tried to face my fears, by talking to a man is harder than it seems for me, even trusting one is even harder. What my father did to me I will never regret nor forgive that man. And what I did to make him stop will I never forgive myself of doing either." Azura blew a hiss from his cracked mouth, keeping an eye on both Slither and Eractor. One slip with Katelin, could end her life, and Azura's.

Slither wasn't the kind to kill unless forced to, he would leave them be. He understood not of what Katelin spoke of. But he said nothing of her sympathy. Leaning up against Eractor he relaxed a bit, then he spoke,"If you will mind the expression, I have been through hell and back, only to be plunged in again - " He was trying to explain the abuse and torture of his own parents, " - while you couldn't trust your father, I couldn't trust both my parents. They abused and tormented me, I will bare these scars forever -," and he raised his arm. one scar shown plain through the others, it stretched from the under part of his wrist to the top part of his arm stopping at his shoulder blade, " - I was lucky they didnt puncture something important, but this is the punishment for the first time I tried to commit suicide to end my suffering."

"I was abused by my father and sent to 27 different foster homes and parents. There while I was staying with different parents, one of the thought it was funny and decided to beat the life out of me. I was unable to walk for two years and had to have surgery on my rib cage because it was fractured. Along with a broken wrist and collar bone. I have been shot in the torso with a gun and stabbed in the stomach with a sword, nearly dieing in the hospital and massive blood loss. Luckily, I survived through all that. My scars still show, but the ones I will never forget are the ones upon my body and mind. Being raped and nearly murdered isn't a fun thing to go through or the fat that you don't know your real parents," I said as I sat by Azura, "but, I do know that is that the child that has had worse than any other child in this world... are the children and babies whom never got to see the rest of their lives. Only because some self deluded idiot thought it was funny or fun to watch a child die or to commit murder on one." Azura felt sorry for this talk and what has happen to children. And it is true, thousands of kids die because of being raper and murdered, or just plain murdered.

"i have seen it befoe, i have gone through villages wher everyone ther has lost a loved one or been tortured by Galbatorix."He spat the name out like it was a beats wanting to rip him open, "Galbatorix, as never helped anyone but himself, i feel sorrow for those who work for him and have no choice."

"Me to," I agreed as I sat in front of Slither. "Azura and I were going to set up camp up yonder and have a fire, do you mind if we join you here with your dragon?" I asked.

"I mind not."He siad. Eractos looked at Slither,"Shall i hunt?"
"Go on, but be carefull." he said aloud to his dragon, the reason he spoke outloud was so he wouldn't forget how, there;s rthe saing, the less you talk to others who shall converse aloud with you, the more likley you'll forget how.

Eractos took off and flew into the woods.

Azura didn't need to hunt, my satchel and pack was already filled with food, but probably non Slither would like. "If you want I could share some of mine with you. I only have vegetables, wheat's, and fruits,"I said. Azura placed his mighty head at my side and watched me build the fire. Placing the logs and sticks up like a tee pee, I took two sulfur rocks and clanged them together, releasing sparks. The sparks flew onto the sticks and fire was enlighten. Stepping back, I watched the fire burned ablaze. The fire burned and ate the wood as the reflection of the fire showed in Azura's eyes. Instead of watching it from my view, I can watch it in his eyes. Smiling I leaned back on Azura's side and watched the fire, then I looked up at Slither.

Slither didn't answer, actually he wasn't hungry, instead.....

Instead he was bored, so he decied to play arpound with his magic.
"brisingr. he said, fire erupted on his right hand the hand with the mark on it. The he said,adurna." water came to his hand, the two, fire and wter chased each other in his hand, around his for arm. it was a strange site, seeing these two chase each other, fire and water. Enemy's yet tamed by one hand.

Falling asleep, I rested my head against Azura's side as Azura took watch, still did he not trust them, but soon he will realize that they are a good dragon and rider. Azura closed his eyes as well, but not much is to be herd about a dragon when sleeping. A dragon can see through it's eyes while they're shut, so Azura can take watch while sleeping.

ERactos came back, empty of course and lay down by Slither.He curled around him and slither too fell asleep.

Day light broke out and the sun was unable to shrine on me, but Azura got all the heat on his other side, which mad him comfortable. I stretched out my arms and opened my eyes to see that both Eractor and Slither were still sleeping. I then looked down to see that the fire was out as well. Oh well, time to get up and get going. Where? Who knows, so where is calling.

slither's hand, the gedwey insignia, started burning and he jolted awake, as did Eractos. slither hissed as it got worse.

Azura got up and stretched his wings. His large membrane wings covered me, Eractor, and Slither. Perfect for a shield from the light, they were like an umbrella! Placing them at his side Azura yawned exposing the large teeth and canines. I am going to head out and get some food, I'll them how to catch food! Azura said as his wings were lifted in the air with the sound of a boom. Walking towards the edge, Azura leaped with his hind legs and thrust his wings as his side diving down the mountain's ledge.

Eractos shook his head from side to side as he felt a chill down his spine, but it passed.
Slither cried adurna!. water filled his hand soothing the itch and burn.

Shrrg and deer galloped as Azura flew over. Diving lower Azura blew a strip of fire to cut of their path, boxing them in and large enough for him to crash land. Thrusting his wings to his side, Azura dived and grabbed a deer with his powerful hind legs. A shrrg tried to nip at him, but Azura roared and swat it with is tail. Turning around Azura grabbed another deer with his other back leg and flew off with a worthy catch. I herd wings beats and prepared my sword. When Azura lifted from the side of the mountain and threw two deer in front of Eractor and Slither, That is how you catch! Azura mocked.

Slither was taken by surprised leapt to his feet took a step back and tripped over his dragons tail. Eractor looked at Slither, laughing at him.
I am not a very good hunter, Eractor said. My expertise are in Ariel Combat.

All dragons are experts in Ariel Combat, aside red dragons who fight normally on the ground, but that's them. I prefer aerial combat over fighting in the ground, better movement and you can see things coming rather than on the ground, along with the whole dodging concept, Azura explained.

Eractor was a red and purple dragon, yet prefered the sky than the ground.

A pure red dragon prefers the skies not a combination dragon with another color with red. It has to be a pure red dragon, not a hybrid with another color. (I have studies of dragons of all colors!)

Eractor was weird then, he liked the sky, color or not. Slither got up and hissed.
He looked at ERactor who looked at him,Not my fault you dont pay attention like your father.
"Don't comapre me to that man."Slither snarled at Eractor.

"Azura, we should get going or should we stay here?" I asked.
Depends, he replied. I scowled at him and then looked over at Eractor and Slither.

Eractor crouched low to the geround, I am sorry. He said.
"It's alright."slither said calming down he rubed Eractor's neck.Then went and got the saddle.

(Well, I'll post them at the end of this post of mine! I also have their habitats, size, weight, powers, what they eat, and what not. I can give all that information to you by PMing you? Even the colors!)

"Where are you headed?" I asked Slither as I mounted Azura. Azura and I have no saddle, we prefer without one because we think it's better suited, but when it battle take a different story.

"Not to the varden thats for sure, i don't think they would welcome me as easily as they would you."Slither said tightening the straps on the saddle. He finally got them tightened and buckled his sword to his waits and had his bowa nd quiver he climbed onto Eractor when the thought hit him, Eractor, not only couldn't breathe fire at hos age of 7, but was also smaller than an average 7 yr old dragon.

"Then I head to the Varden. We've already came from out designated place," I said staring at the sword that they have given me. The blade was a pure white, like it was creamy making it look like you could eat it. The handle was grey and black, like the hide of Azura, as well as the blade. Gripping the handle, I mounted Azura. Azura let out a roar and dived off the side, leaving Eractor and Slither.
