we have a band concert with the seventh grade on monday!i am so nervouse!i.....i don't know if we'll do good or bad.what's more after that on the 20th we are going to a festival during school to do the real thing at get a marking on it!and our band has never gotten below a 1 in 4 yrs! :wtf: it's so wierd!i didn't feel like this at the winter concert. :hide: i fel like hiding.but i wont.its a test grade.

Don't worry! *hug* You'll do just fine! Everyone gets the jitters before a competition. Heck, even I, a person who's been doing this kind of stuff for eight years, got nervous when I had to do solo/ensemble a week ago. We too have a clinic competition coming up in April. It's new to us, but I'm personally not too scared... of course, being the oldest person in band (excluding our director), I have the most confidence ^_^

So, all you need to do is go out there, take a deep breath, and play to the best of your abilities. You'll do just fine! I'm sure of it.

Orchestra is fun, in 6th grade I played the violin, and boy was that fun! I got to play Jurassic Park!

I play a variety of instruments myself, clarinets and saxophones. I have several memorable pieces... and if you guys care to, I could upload some music that I've played (and it's actually me in the recording!) to a filesharing site if you'd like to hear. I only have recordings of me playing bass clarinet, but I might have a recording of me on bari sax one day...
