Does anyone have any pre show rerun news or views or thoughts or opinions.....I do remember Emily is way to buddy buddy with Congresswoman Karen Steyer for Hotches liking!! Is this the one with Reid and the kid??

**spoiler** In case you haven't seen it.
This is another one of my favorite episodes from season two (along with lessons learned) Yes, it's about the kid who fantasizes killing the prostitutes. Another Reid episode! (some are cheering, some are thinking "another one about Reid?")
I think I liked how Reid sort of became the "big brother" to this kid even though he wasn't obligated to - he felt a connection with him because he understood what it was like to "be afraid of your own mind."
And I really liked the ending....sad, but I liked Reid's thought about possibly saving a killer and putting lives in the future in danger. Very interesting.

Wow, really not one of my fave episodes.
Certainly reminded me as to why I was not on board the Prentiss Love Train.
Really didn't like the way she talked to hotch in his office.
The "sir" thing didn't bug me as much the second time around.
Forgot about the great interaction with dr spencer reid and garcia. (she treated him like big sister elle would have)
Loved Ester!!
Sad ending..... :o

whoops forgot to sign in....
ok, so yes if I divided the episode into two parts, Reid was great. He is kind....interesting episode.
Sort of thought his sketch looked a little bit like a martian?? Like what you would draw if you were describing who abducted you...

I really liked this episode the first time and I watched again tonight with my husband and daughter. It is an episode that makes you think about the possibility of great evil in all of us and the ending of this episode is so sad. I cried again tonight. :(

I'm actually glad now that this wasn't a new episode. Where I live was under a tornado watch last night and the weatherman kept interrupting the show every five minutes (I know lives are more important than a TV show but it wasn't really near me just in the "viewing area" so it was getting a little annoying.) I'm going to be a basket case if we have severe weather on any Wednesday night when there is a new CM episode and I miss half of it! I'll be begging for anyone to send me a tape! :D
I had forgotten how graphic this particular episode is. And although I really liked Reid I think this was where his character really started being too serious and grown up and different. (if only they would have stopped there.) Anyway, I thought MGG did a really great acting job in this one.
Emily......well.....coleslaw anyone? Actually I can't say that. We had a hint of excitment when she knew the mean politician lady - I think I'd be happier if they had followed that.

What a great episode! I enjoyed and appreciated the character development. I've been a bit ambivalent regarding Prentiss, but I found last night's subplot rather interesting. I guess pursuing a career in politics is not high on her "to do" list.
I thought the main plot was fascinating, but then, I've always been interested in abnormal psychology and the nature vs. nurture aspect. Is a serial killer born or created? Nathan Harris appears to be the product of both. I liked the way Reid tried to help him while never losing sight of the fact that the kid was (at one time) a suspect.
The only thing that puzzled me was the in the final scene. Reid's hands (Garcia's as well) are covered with blood. Why on earth didn't someone lead them to a faucet so they could wash up?
I guess that was one of those "it'll look more dramatic if they're trying to clean the blood off with white towels" moments.

This is what will make learning about her relationship with her mother sooo interesting. We have viewed 8 episodes since, and we haven't seen a whole lot of emotion.

Rerun last night. What a good episode! Still one of the more graphic ones in my opinion but I really liked Reid in this episode. And I thought it was a pretty powerful ending (makes you think) Just the whole idea of Nathan trying to commit suicide to avoid becoming a killer and Reid questioning how many lives in the future he has risked by saving a potential killers life. And interesting that the real unsub wasn't very central to the story...you almost forget about him. Garcia catches a little field action (bet that wasn't traumatizing at all) And our first hint that something is up with Emily and her family that maybe all isn't happy there.
Did anyone catch Gideon's comment about "profiles can be wrong" - we'll have to remember that as we watch the beginning of the new season. <_<

I couldn't put it better myself! I love this episode, it's one of my favourites. Reid is especially great. The Hotch/Emily tension always comes to mind whenever I think of this episode....he was stroppy!

I actually didn't like this episode too much the first time around, but it seems the more I watch it, the more I like it. I really liked Reid's connection with the kid, too, even though he wasn't "obligated".
