Title: House
Description: He's Not that Bad...REALLY!

GideonsGirlAnanke - April 11, 2006 03:06 AM (GMT)
Seriously...If you don't watch it, you should.

I realize that House seems evil and harsh and stuff, but it's a great show and can be really funny when you get into it.

Plus, it's the only show that I watch that all the cast members feel like family...or really close friends or something. (Except for maybe NCIS...They're pretty close, too.)

~)~

Honestly, I didn't used to be such a House geek.

In fact, I HATED it...I would do my best to avoid it and watch something else...even to the point of jumping on extra shifts at work, if offered.

But then I finally gave it a chance and became addicted to it. I bought the first season DVD and got caught up in my spare time...it's the only show I've ever seen every episode of, to date! (Getting close on CM, though.) In fact, I almost skipped going to my dad's company Christmas party in order not to miss House...but it was a rerun that I had already seen, so I went.

House is my absolute favorite show and it would annoy me to no end if I ever missed an episode.

-----------------

Okay...I'm done.

Share the love!

I must agree! Ever since my friend turned me onto House, I've been hooked. Yes, he can be abrasive, but I'd rather have a doctor who is blunt and ignores me while he cures me than a doctor who holds my hand while I die. The fact that Robert Sean Leonard is in it only helps. He is a wonderful and talented actor, as is Hugh Laurie. The scripts are fast pased and are full of twists. Everyone should watch this show! :)

Ooo, ooo! Pick up next week's TV Guide! It has a great article on House and Hugh Laurie! Nice pictures of the entire cast too.

Thought you might like the tidbit.

Too bad I don't have the money!

Ah well...A site I keep track of let me in on the spoiler aspect of things, so I guess I'll have to be satisfied with that.

Cat - April 12, 2006 11:01 PM (GMT)
I scanned the article and the cover for my House board so I can email you the files if you want.

Let me know. :)

I can't say I'm a fan - but I'm curious. Do American's find it weird to
hear his normal accent?

I for one can't watch House seriously because I'm so used to hearing his normal, Cambridge educated British voice. I just keep hearing him as the dopey Prince Regent from Blackadder.

As Americans, do you think his voice is realistic?

GideonsGirlAnanke - April 29, 2006 01:56 PM (GMT)
I don't think it's weird at all to hear him speak normally...It's charming.

And as for his American accent, it's excellent. I don't know how many tales I've heard of people thinking he was an unknown American actor, because the accent is so convincing!

Oh I love House! It's one of my 3 favorite shows on TV.

I love his personality! I watched it form episode one. They started to show it here 14 weeks ago. :D I'm so glad!

i heart nerds - January 16, 2007 12:25 AM (GMT)
House is the best! I love his attitude towards his work...it's like he tries to hide how much he likes it. And I love how he's addicted to Vaccadin (sp?) and he's so funny  And his accent is very convincing I was amazed when I found out he was british-I couldn't even tell at first, but go british people :uk: lol
I love House been a fan since day 1

Agent Reid - March 8, 2007 09:48 PM (GMT)

The fact that Foreman's leaving.

He's not one of my favorites or anything, but I still don't really want him to leave.

I love this show! - May 3, 2007 02:19 AM (GMT)
Is he really leaving the show? I like House but I don't keep up with it other than watching the show so I was surprised in the last episode to hear him saying he was giving his two weeks notice.....I didn't know if he is really leaving or if that was just a storyline but for some reason he would end up deciding to stay.

LeucaBleu - May 3, 2007 04:45 AM (GMT)
All I saw on the spoiler page was that he was leaving...I don't know if Omar is actually leaving, or if it's just a plot device like the whole "House in prison" thing.

~)~

In the meanwhile, last night's ep wasn't too bad...except for the part where I cussed like a sailor after realizing that the bone marrow pull sans anesthetic wasn't a nightmare (of Foreman's). :P

CaraReid - May 3, 2007 01:40 PM (GMT)
Hmm, yeah, I like don't like Foreman that much either, but I think the show would not be the same without him.

LeucaBleu - May 4, 2007 03:00 AM (GMT)
I just got a new spoiler update and it said that Omar is scheduled to be back next season, but there is going to be big changes for Foreman after working for House for so long.

Which makes sense, because I've heard that IRL, fellowships only last three years, so actually, all the Ducklings should be seeking new jobs.

But then again, you don't have a unit full of SSAs in real life, either. :P

I love this show! - May 5, 2007 11:03 PM (GMT)
Good, I'm glad he'll be back. He's not my favorite but it's one of those things that it just won't be the same without him either.

CaraReid - May 31, 2007 09:27 PM (GMT)
Did anyone see the finale? The case was really cool, but the whole characters thing was depressing! Except the Cameron/Chase 'ship... they're so sweet!

I love this show! - May 31, 2007 10:22 PM (GMT)
I saw it but I wasn't too overly impressed. I think because the previews made it sound better than it was (in my opinion anyway.)

So we're supposed to think that all three of them are gone? I don't think so.....I can see one leaving but not all three!

LeucaBleu - May 31, 2007 10:39 PM (GMT)
I have it on tape (because I had to fill in at work on Tuesday), but haven't gotten to it yet, because I had two episodes of Moral Court and two of George Lopez to get through, first.

But I read spoilers like crazy and they say that Foreman will still be affiliated with the hospital in some fashion and they made it sound like Chase and Cam being gone was only for a short time, so...

Mandarina - June 26, 2007 09:34 PM (GMT)
I love House. Ok, I donīt wath the show because the only show that I watch is CM ( I think House is better, though... but just for some reason I canīt help being a CM-holic :ph43r: )

House is one of the best characters Iīve ever seen. Just like Mulder or Reid, but rather more caustic and sarcastic and... well, rather more bastard. But I totally faned him */Mode FanGirl ON

I love this show! - June 26, 2007 10:40 PM (GMT)
That show is quite addicting isn't it? (much like CM - BUT...CM is better!) :)

House is a fascinating character. You love to hate him! He is so mean and yet you understand he's just messed up on some stuff and you've got to laugh at some of his comments and somehow like him.

And I really like the supporting cast....another similarity to CM - I think everyone on the cast is really good. Even their guest cast is usually outstanding.

...

I just heard the other day that while the ducklings are coming back (in some capacity or another) this fall, that there are going to be four completely new ducklings this fall! Two guys and two girls! Wow...it's going to be SO different!

I love this show! - June 27, 2007 12:02 PM (GMT)
really? Foreman, Cameron and Chase are really kind of leaving? I didn't think they would really get rid of them. <_< I don't know if I like that or not. Well....if they are still around sometimes that will be okay and it should be interesting to see some new people introduced to House!

Frank's_Evilution - June 27, 2007 05:00 PM (GMT)
:o I seriously cannot believe that they all are leaving. I mean, how can all three of them leave? And how can they just have started the relationship with Chase and Cameron and then have them leave?
I dunno, I actually didn't start watching House until a couple months ago, but I've been hooked ever since I started. I really hope Foreman, Cameron, and Chase don't leave, though.

Rach112 - June 28, 2007 05:52 PM (GMT)
I think Cameron, Chase and Foreman will still be around, just maybe not working for House. New ducklings, that sounds interesting. Hopefully it'll be good for the show to have a few new characters ;)

I totally LOVE him. Ok, heīs a bastard, but heīs the perfect antihero... brutally honest, completely selfish, terribly funny, crippled, addict and sooooo sexy :P

That's what I meant...I think Evilution misunderstood me. "They'll be around in some capacity or another" means that they'll likely be working independently, in other parts of the hospital, but not under House's direction any longer.

Rach112 - June 30, 2007 09:42 PM (GMT)
Maybe they'll get their own team ;) Can you imagine?! I would hate to see Foreman as boss

I love this show! - June 30, 2007 09:47 PM (GMT)
Can you imagine actually working for someone like House? After the first day you'd be wondering what you got yourself into!

I heard somewhere a theory that House is based on the character of Sherlock Holmes. Anyone know anything about that?

Rach112 - June 30, 2007 09:55 PM (GMT)
I can imagine working for someone like House would be exhausting but maybe kinda fun! Funny you should mention Sherlock Holmes, we were just chatting about this on a House board

LeucaBleu - July 1, 2007 12:53 AM (GMT)
That's the site that I get my spoilers from.

They said earlier that two of the four new ducklings are going to be around for a couple of story-arcs and I guess the other two are permanent.

Rach112 - July 2, 2007 09:06 AM (GMT)
I'm pleased 2 are only sticking around for a little while, means they're not gonna end up with this huge, Grey's Anatomy style cast!

Frank's_Evilution - July 4, 2007 05:46 PM (GMT)
Yeah, having too many people really can ruin a show. And a lot of shows seem to be doing it too: Grey's Anatomy, Lost, Heroes....I think Lost has too many main characters.

Rach112 - July 5, 2007 07:05 AM (GMT)
Haven't they killed quite a few on Lost though? BTW when does House start up again?

Frank's_Evilution - July 11, 2007 05:23 PM (GMT)
Well...on Lost, after they kill people off, it's usually because they want to bring in more characters, so even when they kill characters off in Lost, they still end up with a lot of characters.

House starts again on Sep. 25th, 9/8 central...and it says on their website that this year, House will air after the super bowl! :D

Rach112 - July 13, 2007 08:37 AM (GMT)
I am so excited for season 4! I had a House - marathon on TV last night. I can't wait to see this new team of his and how different things are gonna be :D

I love this show! - July 20, 2007 02:55 AM (GMT)
I see House got a few emmy nominations - including Hugh Laurie. I'd like to see him win.
