I just wrapped up season 1 DVD *which I'll be watching over and over again* and it seems like every episode regardless of how interesting the case has some great character moment in it, I was wondering what everyone's favorites were.

Mine: In the very beginning of "Somebody's Watching" when Gideon and Reid are at the art gallery, and that really weird girl (these people give artists such a bad name sometimes IMO) hits on Gideon, and he promptly runs for the door the first moment he gets. *And the look on his face when she was talking to him! Priceless!* :lol:

This is a hard one.....there are SO many great ones to choose from! But off the top of my head I'd have to go with the scene that also happens to be my favorite quote. In the pilot:
Gideon: "Try again. Fail again. Fail better.
Reid: "Samuel Beckett"
Morgan: "Try not. Do or do not."
(Gideon looks questioningly at Reid)
Reid: "Yoda"

I love the look on Gideon's face (like huh???).....I don't think he ever really "Got it" :lol:

Oh gosh that's a hard one. One moment that sticks out right now, although it's small, is in Revelations when Gideon and Garcia are watching Reid on the monitors getting beaten and Garcia is holding Gideon's hand on her shoulder. I thought that was very touching, especially with their rather awkward relationship.

Another one for me was in Profiler, Profiled (well, there were a bunch) when the group found out about Morgan's past and there were a lot of touching moments in that one, I think the group really got a view into why Morgan is the way he is, especially on cases with children.

A great "Fun" group moment for me was when they were all eating out together and Reid couldn't eat with chopsticks. And of course the plane scenes are always super-good.

And then there was........*could go on forever*

The first couple that comes straight to my mind are the scene in 'Machismo' when Reid gives Elle such a sweet look:

JJ: At least you get to spend your birthday weekend in Mexico.
Hotch: Yeah, what's 'dog-house' in Spanish?
Reid: (akwardly) La casa del paro (I hope thats how you speel it)
Elle: (great accent) Casa del paro
Reid: That's what I said.
Elle: Face it chico, you're only a genious in English!
.....
Reid: ......(spanish) La mexico (looks at Elle)

Also in 'Riding the Lightning':

Hotch: (slams picture up against the glass) Riley. He's alive. You lose.

And in 'Blood Hungry' (I think)

Hotch: So you managed to get right on Garcia's nerves.
Gideon: Garcia?
Hotch: Penolope Garcia? The tech with the glasses?
Gideon: In the room, the one with all the screens?
Hotch: (nods)
Gideon: I like her, she's great!

My favorite is at the end of LDSK when Morgan had given Reid the attack whistle and Reid tosses it back and then Morgan says "Touche' Kid". That was a great moment. A little bit touching yet totally hilarious. :D

Another one I really like is from "Sex, birth, Death" (I think that's the name of the episode) Anyway, the kid Reid saves after he tries to commit suicide.....when he is talking with Gideon at the end and he is wondering how many future lives he's put into danger if the kid he just saved turns out to be a killer. And Gideon's line about "then we catch him"

I don't know why, but I really liked the thought Reid had about that and Gideon's answer.

I'm going to add the Gideon/Reid moment at the end of last nights episode. That was just great.

For me, there were several touching moments with Morgan in "Profiler, Profiled", especially at the end when Gideon and Hotch realize that Morgan was molested as a child.

But one of my favorites with Morgan has to be in "Empty Planet" at the end when Morgan confronts Gideon about "greatly admiring and respecting" him. The look on Morgan's face to know that someone like Gideon thinks so highly of him was priceless. I loved it! :lol:

Since I am on a TEAM RANT today, I thought I'd add this scene from "Broken Mirror" when they all are staring at the phone going who the hell is this guy...and how dare he talk smack about us!!

I loved it!!
(They loved it!! Gideon says it best when he indicates, "he just told us how to find him")

Great quote CriminalMind! That was one of my favorite Hotch moments. And an awesome episode.

I liked the scene in Somebody's Watching where Gideon tells Reid they're going and Reid with a smirk on his face was like We're still looking at the exhibit. Then with the cutest face, Reid turns around and almost runs into the Waitress and kinda tip toes around. Tooooo Cute !!!! :P I also liked the music choice.

The first is from the recent episode "Jones" as Garcia is talking to Prentiss on the phone she is eating Chinese food and some drops down her blouse....and she just picks it out and eats it.

The second would also be in that show in the end when Reid simply says "I'm struggling" so much was said in those two words.

There are soooo many moments that come into my mind right now - even though I only know about 15 episodes of season 1 and 2 so far (number is increasing almost every other day ;-).

So I just pick two of them:

In "Revelations", when Reid hugs Hotch and JJ. I love that scene. I really, really love it!

At the end of LDSK: first the scene with Hotch and Reid, second the scene with Reid and Gideon. This sentence "I am proud of you" is so great.

I could go on with so many other scenes but I leave it at that two (for now ;-).

I love when Reid 'insults' Hotch by saying he 'kicks like a 9 year old girl'! :lol: aw, too funny, Hotch's face was like a mixture of 'Did he just say that to me?' and 'Ok, fine, be that way'! hehe

Also, love the bit in FKP2 between Reid, Morgan and Hotch:

Hotch: What was that?
Reid: He had a bomb.
Morgan: And you didn't think we needed to know that?
Reid: I said wait downstairs.
Morgan: You didn't say bomb, you left that bit out!

That was an awesome one. Notice everyone but Hotch lost the coat and tie.

Which is even funnier when you remember that after Hotch is strangled by the Unsub in Natural Born Killer Gideon goes over to undo Hotch's tie and says, "Undo your tie, for once" :D

It's like he can't not be offical-looking. :)

But he's so pwetty! *goes off into dream like stance...*
lol, but yeah, I loved seeing him in a shirt and T-Shirt in 'Machismo', in fact I loved that whole scene, it was definetly a big part of why I like Hotch.

When Hotch (or maybe Gideon, can't remember at this moment) tells Reid to speak to the Chemistry students in Season 1 's Compulsion and Reid goes off on a tangent so far off the mark from nerves - it's so funny and just SO Reid as a public speaker, lol.

Gideon taking the exact place of the victim in Plain Sight (Season 1) is very "him" as well - I can't think of a single one of them who'd do that. It's a great idea, of course, but a really creepy thing to do and it just seems like the type of thing Gideon would do.

another team moment, I loved the life lesson moment with "big sister elle", "teasing" by morgan, tender moment with "mentor", and "sweet moment" with the girl!! Its hard to believe this guy is so smart!!

Aww, i love that part, I laugh so hard everytime I hear it, she's so matter of fact, and he looks like it never even occurred to him that he has to actually ASK a girl out! :P Bless him!

k, i dont remember the eppy or the actual words, but i liked the moment in season two where elle was drinking in her hotel room and Reid came in and talked to her. It was such a touching moment for me.

yeh of everyone, I think reid and elle had a really close big sister/little brother thing.....the really sad part, was he wanted to help her, he really did.....I refer to it as the tanqueray incident

My favorite part is in "Revelations," when Reid hugs Hotch and says "I knew you'd understand." Bring on the tissues! I love that scene!

I love all those funny little team moments that show the camaraderie and respect everyone has, like when everyone's laughing at Reid for his inability to use chopsticks ("It's like foraging for food with number two pencils.") I crack up every time.

Reid telling Hotch that he kicks like a nine-year-old girl is fantastic.

And the entire episode of Revelations.

I still love the whole ending of Riding the Lightning. The team is so close to tracking down Sarah Jean's son and she is begging Gideon not to find him so he won't be Jacob's last victim. Gideon giving in to her.....but then when she asks him if he can be the last face she sees! That was tearjerking enough but I love the ending with Gideon listening to the cello and the tear running down his face. I think that episode should have won an emmy.

I love close to the end of that episode when Hotch goes where Jacob is being executed and he puts the picture up to the window and he says:

Hotch: "Riley. He's alive. You lose!"

I love the You Lose part. It shows Hotch's personality so well.

Aw, that is my absolute fabourite part of 'Riding the Lightening'!!!

This ep was definetly Emmy worthy.

I love that scene from Plain Sight with the candles. In the background you can hear Morgan being like "Why don't you get mommy to feed it to you?" (talking about JJ) and Reid is like "MOMMY?!" :lol:

That was absolutely adorable! It made me squee. :)

*Shipper heart beats fast* Reid was so nervous! I love how he didn't know what to say. SO adorable. I totally love Gideon for setting them up.

I totally disagree xD But that´s because I don´t ship Reid and JJ at all :P I love the "candles scene", though. I find Reid adorable i n his birthday hat :D

At the end of Revelations (2x15) when they find Reid in the graveyard and Hotch goes and helps Reid up and Reid say "I knew you'd understand" and hugs Hotch!!
