I honestly wasn't a fan. I mean, it was an AWESOME show..but it wasn't our show. It was a whole new show if that makes sense. It was as if I was on the wrong channel in some strange parallel universe where the actors from CM were all starring in a new show together...what was up with the black white fade outs and the timeline reconstruction...nope, not a huge fan.

See I really liked it. I missed like the first few seconds but I liked it it was dark and creepy as the show should be considering how they should be going into the darkest recesses of human nature

I agree that the transitions between the 'past' and 'present' weren't that clean... I'm used to Highlander's technique... Far cleaner/crisper/tight... I wasn't confused, I just didn't care for it...
Kyle~ You nearly threw up? Are you serious??? Oh and the head thing... Think back to Jamaica... And well I've been watching too much CSI as well (boiling them to establish cause of blunt force trauma. I was eating lunch and for some reason that stuff doesn't faze me any more... The guy that 'did throw up' if there was a 'smell' that would be the only reason for it... A torso and an arm here or there really isn't such a big deal.

The big deal was the loss of the feed, but I suppose that's another story all together... Oh and perhaps x-# of episodes later, once the chick 'dies' not by the un-sub's hand, because that would completely contradict his wanting to 'be with her' because he supposedly 'loved her'... He goes on a new bender and Gideon catches him... Oh Les Miserables/The Illusionist/etc here we go again!

But all in all, it was okay, I sort of had higher expectations... Especially since we had such a long wait...

I love this show! - January 18, 2007 06:01 AM (GMT)
I thought it was rather strange.....I agree with LeeChrista...it wasn't the CM we are used to. It was a good enough story but not the type of Criminal Minds episode I have come to love.

And I don't like the end to be unresolved like that unless it's a two-parter but this isn't is it? Isn't the next episode (which is ANOTHER couple of weeks away....but that's a different story) the one after the superbowl and that is a two-part episode. So just exactly when are we going to get back to this guy?

Weird....very weird.

I loved this episode. I thought the transfering from past to present and back was a great way of showing us how they came to be where they ended up. Since this was a Gideon filled episode I wonder if some of the disappointment with the episode might not be caused by other characters being featured. I feel that way when Gideon takes a back seat. Anyway, I loved it. :) JILL

Jill I think you might know me to well. :)

Seriously though, Reid or not, it just seemed like a differnet show...like Without a Trace or Close to Home..something different but not bad.

Hey guys...I have to say that while I enjoyed the episode I also felt like it wasn't what we are used too...there was no airplane scene either coming or going and even JJ stayed behind at headquarters - I couldn't quite figure that one out. I did think that it was an interesting concept, but I missed the Morgan/Garcia banter and it just didn't feel right to me. But I did notice that the writers seem to be giving Reid a stronger role (still spouting out quirky facts) but he was right there with Hotch and Prentiss when they went guns drawn into Jane's house...interesting episode.

I loved the episode with one exception......that lunatic got away! But on all the crime shows (Law & Order, CSI, etc) there is always one nemesis that gets away and returns later. Do you think Keith Carradine will be making another appearance in the future? Maybe as a cliffhanger for the season finale? That would be great.

Also, I loved the transition between the past and present. The way the episode began was really cool. But, what was up with the local police practically mowing down the FBI? I didn't like how those guys didn't heed Morgan's warnings to leave the restaurant. When my baby says move, you better MOVE! LOL!

LeeChrista - January 18, 2007 09:03 PM (GMT)
LuvMorgan you are too cute! Move baby move! Anyway yeah my husband literally said "Well, there is the season finale".

Kyle - January 18, 2007 10:31 PM (GMT)
It was much different then the other episodes, and I don't think it's as good as the other ones typically, but it's still great!

That upset me when Hotch yelled at reid. so rude! lol

J.J. - yes, i did almost throw up! i get sickened by the smallest things. :P

I loved the Garcia/JJ moment when JJ woke Garcia who began to grope for her glasses and JJ gave him to her, it made me think of Velma on Scooby Doo (whom I adore!) ^_^
