I think this episode is my favorite. I has a lot of Reid in it and it has 2 of the actors from Judging Amy and one of them is also on Psych which is one of my favorite shows! What did everyone else think of this epi?

I liked this ep, it kept me on the edge of my seat, which I love! Not my favorite, (Riding the Lightening) but it was very good!!!! Although it scared me witless when Hotch's starts beating up Reid, and broke my heart what he was saying! :(

I really liked that episode, too, though I knew something was going on when Hotch was kicking Reid. That wa so out of character for him. I loved at the end when he feels bad for having to do it and he is apologizing to Reid but explaining why he kept kicking him so that Reid would understand what he wanted him to do and Reid says I got it when you moved the hostages out of the way. I also liked when Reid threw the whistle back at Morgan and the funny comment he made to Hotch that he kicked liike a 12 year old girl.

One of my favorites b/c it shows growth in Reid's character.

I recently bought the season one DVD and started watching the episodes. Most of them I saw, but I love watching them over and over again. This episode was absolutely in my favorite list.
It really tricked me when Hotch started making comments about Reid and started kicking him. That's what I love about this show. You never know what's going to happen.

This was a really good episode...one of the best! Some of the season one episodes I like even better when I go back and watch them again - more than the first time I saw them.

I really love this episode because there is so much of Reid and Hotch in it and because of their interaction. At first when Hotch started talking in that rude way about Reid I was sitting there in disbelief. I even rewinded to watch the scene again to make sure I didn't misunderstood anything. Then of course I got it that Hotch intended something but it was hard to watch it (especially when he kicked him!). I felt so sorry for Reid who seemed to be pretty stunned. And almost crying :(

The scene at the end, Hotch and Reid, was so great! I loved to see how Hotch came and talked to him, and the way Reid answered. I watched this scene so many times and I still enjoy it ...

But I don't believe that Reid said the truth when he talked about the moment he got Hotch's plan. Reid isn't such a great actor as Hotch (at least not at this early time in 1.6.) and when he looked at Hotch after this asked that favour from the sniper Reid really seemed to be stunned and hurt. I don't think he would have been able to put this on (simulate). He certainly knew (or hoped) that something was going on but I think he didn't get the plan until Hotch started kicking him and so reminded Reid of the gun.
What I missed a little bit: I would have liked to see what happened after Gideon, JJ and Morgan run into the room. Just a few seconds about their reactions when finding the dead guy and Reid on the ground with the gun in his hands ...

I also love the Reid-Gideon talk in the plane. Especially Gideon's last sentence. Perfect ending! :)

I liked this episode, too. Obviously for the high Reid ratio, but also the case was really interesting. I really thought it was the narcissistic doctor, right up until Gideon ruled him out.

I think this episode really cemented some things about Reid for me, before this, I just sort of pictured him as this genius that they recruited to be on the team. After seeing how bummed out about not being able to carry, I realized that he really is an FBI agent and wants to be seen as one, with all the perks, dangers and risks.

This episode was probably my favorite. I loved the lighting in the scene with Reid, Hotch, and the Sniper. Plus, their were so many great moments in that episode. The 9-year-old girl comment, when Reid tosses the attack whistle back to Morgan, and when Hotch lets Reid keep his gun. Plus, it was first season so it still had Elle in it. :D

I haven't gotten to see this one yet - I have no clue how I missed it - but hopefully my first season DVD will come soon cause I really want to see it!

I have got to get season one on DVD. I know there is some episodes I havent seen. This episode here I have only seen part of, and can barely remember it.

I just got my DVD set and, because everyone kept singing its praises, decided to watch it right away.

It really is one of m favorites now - Hotch was great, lots of Reid, and some pretty good twists. And I finally found out where some of those great quotes came from! :lol:

I haven't seen it yet either. But I'm waiting to order the First Season CM DVD until this second season is over. Hoping to watch all of last season's shows to help get through the LONG summer. :unsure:
