Does anyone else notice that Dr. Reid often wears his wrist watch on the outside of his shirt?

Is that considered odd? If I wear a long shirt with fitted sleeves, I always wear my watch on the outside (it's too hard with looser sleeves, so I don't bother).

Exactly I totally thought it was a Reid quirk. I don't think I have ever seen anyone else do this. Hmm...

Im more shocked that I didnt notice it, lmao! Is it in Season 2 he does it, or does he do it in Season 1 as well? Because if its both, Im gonna have to go over my tapes, lol. <_<

i think i need to pay more attention to reid. though i dont think that's possible.

Tonight during the Bullpen scene he had his watch over his shirt in one scene, then not in the next, then in the next, then not in the next...it was a very bad editing job..go back and watch!

I think it's a fitte sleeves thing. That or it's just easier than trying to push it around on your arm all the time.
Either way, it's kinda fitting with the character (read into that it's utterly cute on him).

I'm still waiting for them to working something into the show about his unmatching socks.....that sounds like a Reid-type thing to do.

I think that's just one of his little quirks. You'll never find my wrists with nothin on them. Most of the time it is ponytails usually 2 or 3 of them. They have no practicality but it just seems part of my personality. While a watch is useful I think that because he does where cuffs it is more out of convenience that he where's it on the outside. And it just adds to his quirky personality.

I agree with the socks thing. Maybe the new girls should looks at his feet for some reason.. and be like, "Umm.. Reid? You're socks arent amtching." and then he'll say about the bad luck thing.. yay.
He's so darn cute. :P as I said in another post.. 'I want to ruffle his cute brown hair and hug him till his arms go numb.'

Something else about Reid - his hands are always busy (I guess because his mind is always supposed to be working or something) but if he's just sitting at a desk or something he's always playing with a pen or handcuffs or something to keep himself busy.

He is a TRIP! I have a feeling Matthew is that way too, I don't know if he has the ability to just "hang out".

I think everyone loves his Reid quirks. They are endearing and from the pictures and interview I have seen he seems to be fun in real life also. :)

Yeah- I've noticed that with him as well- I think a lot of people in general do that though- and may not realize that they do it. I have the insane habit of playing with my fingers- or pens.

all thse quirks make up REid's character..I also like the his expressions..like, knowing so much..yet tht kinda humble, modest looks he gives..mosta the time..he looks so chweet!

I was watching the Meet Matthew Gray Gubler thing on the DVD today...and during his screen test he was doing that thing that he does while spouting genius facts where he kinda purses his lips and looks down..almost like a tick..I think that is what got him the job. :)

That and his socks and coffee.....they probably thought "this guy's great! We don't need to write this stuff for him - he IS Reid!"

I was watching "the popular kids" episode last night.

This is the episode where Reid is having nightmares and he asks Morgan about it. Morgan tells Hotch & Gideon without his consent so Reid is confronting Morgan about why he told them. I saw a look on Reid's face that I hadn't ever seen before - He looked mad! But not just mad...it was almost creepy. Actually I think I have seen that look before but that was on the MGG documentaries when he is acting like such a jerk. I just though whoa, that was not a regular Reid emotion.

Which got me thinking about something else which surprised me (I don't know why this thought was surprising to me but it was) none of the characters show too much emotion. You pick up on what they are feeling but it's always pretty subtle. Morgan is actually the exception to that. He's actually quite emotional.

I'm starting to way over-analyze these episodes! I think I may need professional help! :)

I hope they offer MGG a ton more money for season 3. I think it has basically been decided that he is a HUGE reason people watch this show. He brings something to the table for almost everyone. Maternal types want to mother him, shy people relate to him, outgoing people want to bring him out of his shell...I think CBS should keep him HAPPY! I personally feel he is the only character whos leaving would ruin the show..maybe with the exception of Garcia.

As special as MGG is to the show all the characters are very special and all would be missed. Many are having a hard enough time with Lola leaving. :(

Haha its cute how Reid does that. It's one of many of Reid's little quirks. And yep it's in season 1 too.

The thing about the watch and possibly the socks is that a lot of people with really high IQs wear their watches and jewelery on the outside of their clothing. i think it has some thing to do with it irritating their skin but i could be wrong.
and Einstein didn't wear socks.

I HATE socks. They confine my feet, which is why I love flip flops so much.

I love Reid's sweaters and such, and as I watched the show for the first time EVER (somewhere around season 2) I noticed my mom kept looking at me. When I asked why, she said that he and I wear the same clothes. One look at my wardrobe confirmed it, I dress like if he and Garcia's clothes got mixed up. (sans messenger bag). lol
