Is there any character you didn't like much at first but have found really growing on you?

I have two: Hotch was a bit boring at first and I couldn't relate to him much (even with the baby storyline), but after the last three eps I can't get enough of him!

JJ - I thought she was so dull and pointless at first - but she's growing on me now. Mum and I always giggle at the "Throw JJ to the wolves" moment when she's being attacked by press/families. We reckon they do it cause she looks so young and innocent no one wants to be mean to her.

So it's official - there is no member of the cast I hate!

Hotch.

It took writing from Elle's pov for me... In the beginning I thought she was wishy washy, but if they kill her off that will just plain suck :(

Right now I suppose Reid has slowly grown on me... I was already good with Giddy, Hotch, and Morgan... Reid was just Reid (but I think he'll grow as a character, so that will/should be interesting)

J.J has really grown on me.......I think she's great now

I like Hotch better too.

I was a big Morgan fan but lately, not so much.

I love all the cast though, they're great together.I really hope they don't kill Elle of, it wouldn't be the same without her!

JJ-she was so bland and pointless at the beginning of the season and i hoped that they would write her off, but now i think she's pretty cool...shes so bubbly and is probably the only person who doesn't think Reid is totally incapable of being 'normal'--although...her voice is kinda flat which sorta bugs me...and it has that two line tone thing?...anyone get what im saying?...

Garcia has grown on me, and I'm not sure why. She's not like a main character but she's funny lol

I didnt like Hotch much at the beginning of the season but i'm ok with him now..

Hotch. He was the Great Stone Face at first. But the more I see of his "mother hen" side, the more I like him.

JJ i thought she was not really needed in the team, she doesnt really do much does she, she only takes care of the press as far as i can gather. Hotch also very striaght laced sort of guy who rarely cracks a smile but i have grown to like them both.

Morgan. ooooo he's hot.

Rossi is definitely growing on me! At least I don't majorly dislike him the way I did with Emily when she joined the team. He can be a jerk sometimes but I like what his character adds to the show.

Hotch has also grown on me a lot lately. I never disliked him, I just couldn't relate to him but I like him a lot better now. I have come to appreciate his seriousness ;) And I love it when he actually cracks a smile...

Emily has definitely grown on me since season 2! I can't believe I used to dislike her so much :blink:

Emily has grown on me, cause she has "changed". At first, she was too much serious, strict and perfectionist, at least I felt like that about her. But then she started to interact with the rest of the team and to be more friendly... And now, I think she´s a person with a strong character, but she´s very sensitive too.

JJ has grown on me, but I´ve never disliked her and nowadays I like Emily better, so she has not grown on me so much... I like Morgan and Hotch more than I did when I started watching the show, but, again, it´s no the same...

I never disliked anyone except Emily. (and I always just thought her character was boring in the beginning)

I like how JJ's character has grown. I really like Emily now! I agree with what Rach said about appreciating Hotch's seriousness. I really came to like Gideon - He wasn't my favorite in the beginning.

I haven't been very happy with Rossi yet but I won't give up on him yet. And I think Reid will always be my favorite but I can definitely say I liked him better in season one than I do now. (I think ever since Revelations I've haven't liked what they've done with his character.)

i am still very anti-Rossi, but thats not really saying much because it took me AGES to start to warm up to Emily. I definetly like her now though. There's just something about Rossi that makes me compare him to Gideon and when i do, i just see that he doesn't seem deep or sincere enough. Kind of like he doesn't really mean what he's saying, he's just saying it.

JJ's grown on me. Like most of you, ive never hated her, i just haven't seen much of her and its great that she's gotten some more exposure over the past seasons.

And the rest of the characters ive just always loved! :D

Exactly. Rossi and Gideon are very different characters. When I first heard they were going to bring in a new character to replace Gideon I had expected someone just like him, y'know, to not upset the dynamic too much, and I don't know, maybe that's affecting me when it comes to not warming up to him, but I am trying to separate the two. Rossi to me is still seeming a little nonchalant, like he doesn't really care. Like ac said, he's just saying it, whereas Gideon meant what he was saying. But then again, I haven't completely given up on him yet. I want to warm to him, it's just taking some time.

It's not really fair for me to comment on JJ because when I came along her character had already grown a lot, but having seen some of the early episodes I can definitely see where you all are coming from. It's crazy to think from Complusion to now how different she is!

As for everyone else, loved 'em all, always have.

I never really disliked any of the characters but I was deeply annoyed by Gideon so I'm glad he's gone. There was something so overacted and melodramatic about him!!

On the other hand I adore Rossi!! He's so mysterious, powerful, witty but at the same time so very realistic!!

Ice cold Hotch was the only one I was finding it difficult to relate but he grew on me way before this season.

Gideon grew on me. Although never fully. Also, Prentiss grew on me. But that was quicker, I thought she was pretty kick ass.

id have to say emily at first i didnt like her cause she took ellie's place..now she's one of my fav characters on the show

Looking back, I find that Gideon was very self involved! Awesome but so emotional and it's nice that Rossi is so different. He intrigues me, it's fun trying to work him out. I want to know his story and I love his attitude to his job. I think he cares and is just as dedicated to his job as Gideon waws but in a very different way. Lucian11, I agree that he's very realistic!

ILoveReed1988 Elle broke my heart after murdering that guy and I was actually pissed off she wasn't punished!!

But the only character I never related to was Gideon.
