My name is Emma-Louise Samuel.

Emma-Louise is a mouthful to begin with (Not even my mum uses it). I insist people call me Emma and when a stranger uses the full thing it's weird to me.

So I have a *teeny* complex about double-barrelled forenames. I think if you have to use them at all they should at least be three syllable ones like Mary-Ann or Hannah-Beth. A four syllable first name sounds wrong.

So to most people I'm Emma, to friends I'm Emmy/Em, to my family I'm Em, to my late grandmother I was Nemmy-Nem, and to my best-friend who might as well be my sister I'm Nem.

So the only time the Louise bit is used is my username!

As for Samuel...it's a boy's name and a bit flat and boring. People always add an S on the end.

Ah, and here you thought I used Emmylou because I was a country fan...

-my students call me boo because they think that everyone should be booed at least once in their life so when i was performing for them they all booed me...but it was friendly so that was okay...
-people on my soccer, volleyball and basketball team all call me cheung...because...if you're calling for the pass...i would probably get it to you before you could say adrienne....
-and my friends just kinda call me whatever they feel like...some days to them im cheunger and other days im adge...

My full name is Kelsey Melissa.. D. I don't want to say my last name, because it's really uncommon. If you really want to know, PM me. ;)

Most people call me Kelsey, or Kels. My grandma's the only one who calls me Kelsey Melissa.. thankfully.. since that name doesn't suit me at all. =P

Other variations on my name are Kelpy, Kel, KD, Kraft Dinner, Kelp, Kelsies-Belsies, Keli, or similar names. That's all I could think of at the moment. I think it's cool that my initials end with 'MD', so technically, I'm Kels MD. Purty sweet, eh? :P

I know this sounds really odd right, but since I've had this new job I've been having a name issue.

Basically everyone at my old job called me "Em" (along with my parents and friends), but everyone at my new one calls me "Emma"...I really prefer Em to Emma (perhaps because my name's so long that I like rebelling by getting it down to one syllabel) and so I don't know how to ask them to call be Em without sound weird, rude, and bossy.

Another thing that I dislike is that because I told them that I never really use the Louise part, I've been entered on the systems as Emma Samuel. Now I would glady love to be free of the Louise part, but it's been instilled into me that I have to use it when writing it down by my mum. Just being Emma Samuel on paper sounds so wrong...

You could just say to them really sweetly when they call you Emma, oh you can just call me Em, everyone else does.I don't think it's wierd to want to be called a certain name and I'm sure they won't either. And can't you get them to add your middle name into the system for you? If they're nice people, I'm sure they won't mind :)

my family calls me huda or 'kudut' (which means skinny in malay) or maarip. my school's name is maarif and im the only one in my family schooling there. they always pronounce the 'f' as a 'p'. ggrrrrr. pfft.

Let's just go with first-middle for me. Lauren Crystal. I actually think this combination is rather pretty but I hate my first name because it's so common. There are three Lauren's on my cheerleading squad and it is so confusing. So I just go by my last name there.

Personally I'm not a big fan of my name - sounds far too much like I come from a royal family or something. I demand that everyone call me Alex, and I cringe when people call me Alexandra by mistake (ESPECIALLY substitute teachers, 'cause I'm down in the school's records as Alexandra >_<).

My name is Kellene. It's pronounced KEL as in KELly and LEAN as if you're LEANing on something...but it's not spelt that way. It's spelt ELLEN with a K in front of it and an E at the end of it. My parents made it up. <_<

Here's the problem. No one can get my name right. So, people just call me anything while trying to pronounce my name...Kellie...Colleen...Kaleen...and if it's a sub teacher, they'll just say 'Hey you!'. :P
