Title: Where are you from?
Kyle - May 30, 2006 10:02 PM (GMT)
Hi all. Well, I don't know where anyone is from, and it's making me mad, lol.
So please put your location here. If you don't feel comforatable doing it, please at least put your country.
ME - Austin, Texas USA. Population about 1.6 million. Very Diverse, VERY liberal :), and a very educated city. Now your turn, lol
Emmylou - May 30, 2006 10:29 PM (GMT)
Crewe, Cheshire, United Kingdom. Nowhere near as sophisticated or interesting as it sounds. I am
still the only Brit on board?

That makes it a bit simpler.
GideonsGirlAnanke - May 30, 2006 11:26 PM (GMT)
Charlotte, Michigan.
In the words of everyone else: "Oh yeah! I pass it on the freeway!" :P

Sweden.
It's really not that interesting.. Lol. ^_^ There's nothing here that's special...
Cat - June 17, 2006 06:13 PM (GMT)
I'm from Long Island, New York. I'm about an hour from NYC. It's a quiet suburban area and I hate the city! :) I'm just grateful to have the culture and the opportunities that being right near New York City affords me. Personally, I'd rather be in Denver Colorado. :)

Kyle - June 17, 2006 06:51 PM (GMT)
I would do anything to live in NYC lol. Besides the high taxes and high cost of living, it sounds interesting.
I have several friends in Denver.. Very nice city, but seriously, it is so hard to breathe. One time on the plane, they asked for 10 people to leave, because there wasn't enough oxygen.. Is that not crazy? lol.
Vancouver seems nice.. I've never been, but I have a friend who lives in Alberta and says they miss B.C. like crazy.
Sweden.. Isn't that where they have that good chocolate? lol. I would like to go to Sweden one day, but I've never been out of North America

I bet i'm the only asian here.
I'm from Singapore. Anyone ever heard of it?
it's right under Malaysia. Near the Equator. It's normally warm here, and i hate that. There's no seasonal change whatsoever either. I've never been outside of Asia before, thus I've never felt snow. Boohoohoo.
Emmylou - July 1, 2006 01:28 PM (GMT)
I've heard of it but I'm afraid I couldn't point it out on a map...
You are very welcome though wherever you are from.

frog786 - July 1, 2006 09:46 PM (GMT)
I am from Thorold, Canada- which is about 10-15 minutes away from Niagara Falls.
- and for those wondering- yes... I've seen it lots of time- its pretty, but I've seen it and you kinda get bored of it after a while.

No Niagara Falls is in Ontario and not Quebec... but since Quebec is right next door to Ontario- and since half the population of Ottawa Ontario speaks french we had to take french starting in grade 4 up until and including grade 9... I took it in grade 10 as well.. would have take grade 11 and 12 had it not conflicted with chemistry. I speak enough French to get me through- I can read it and if someone says something to me I can understand it... I just have a hard time communicating back

cool! i've always wanted to learn frech! what languages can you people speak?
i speak English(obviously), Malay, Arabic(onlyy a little) and Hindi here and there because i watch too much hindi movie. hee.
Kyle - July 2, 2006 04:59 AM (GMT)
Of course I speak English lol, and I'm taking a Spanish class in school when it starts. Right now I know some Spanish, but not a lot. I also knwo French, because I am French. My dad comes from Acadiana, which is in Louisiana.. It's equivillant to Quebec of Canada... They've been there for years and have yet to learn English lol. Well, Acadiana only has like 400,000 French speakers compared to Quebec's 6 - 7 million. So yeah, I know very basic French, but that's all. I am thinking about asking my grandpa to teach me though. Italian would be cool to learn too. :-}
Oh, and Huda... You can be Asian and live in Canada! lol. America and Canada have lots of different ethnic groups.

Kyle - July 9, 2006 05:53 PM (GMT)
lol mrs. reid i live in Austin, Texas but I have family that lives in Laredo and I have a bunch of friends from Neuvo Laredo.. It's a dangerous city, and the police are VERY corrupt. Girl, I think you should pack up and move to Monterrey.. Much more safer lol. still though, part of it is nice. :)
Mrs_Reid - July 11, 2006 01:46 AM (GMT)
^^ I was think of moving to San Anton but it's nice here, without all the things we already mention lol.. the othe day we got robbed and it took like a freakin hour to get here and the other day some piromaniac set on fire the house next hour..... lol yeah i should move..
ac5000 - July 11, 2006 03:28 AM (GMT)
ooo...that doesn't seem too nice of a neighbourhood...
Kyle - July 12, 2006 11:15 PM (GMT)
San Antonio is a VERY nice city. Of course, you have to apply for citizenship, and all of that, or get a Visa, but it shouldn't be a problem. Anyways, I'm in austin, so you and I would both be in Texas lol. San Antonio is about.. ohhh, if on the highway 40 minutes from me. I think you would like it lol.
Azertynin - July 14, 2006 02:01 PM (GMT)

I'm from Belgium... Population : Ten million people. -_- It's... in Europe. :P
Ali - September 3, 2006 05:52 PM (GMT)
I live in the farms on the Scottsdale/Phoenix border. Just follow the smell of horse crap, you'll find us.
Half the people here need to be be smacked. Think Paris Hilton and... whatever the male equivalent is.
Yeah, I'm a wee bit frustrated with this city.
nic - September 5, 2006 05:03 AM (GMT)
Hi everyone. I'm from New Zealand. :)
Mila - September 5, 2006 10:09 AM (GMT)
Kyle - September 7, 2006 12:41 AM (GMT)
europe is great, even though it's sadly changing a lot. :( oh well, it's still like the best continent on earth loll.
belgium is very nice.. i hear brussels is a have to see city.
New Zeland is great.. love wellington.
phoenix is nice.. hot weather, but still nice!!
Brazil is great.. MY grandma has had 4 exchange students from there... 2 ricardo's, one chris, and another girl names elainee.. Sao Paulo is a great city.. i have to check it out some time.
the UK is great.. I am checking out London hopefully soon!!
Eileen13 - September 7, 2006 08:53 PM (GMT)
Oh yes! I love Europe, too!!! Sooooooooo many different cultures, countries etc.
And: I'm from Germany. Not easy to miss as it is in the middle of Europe. :D Population is about 82 million. Capital is Berlin. But I think you know that. ;) I live in the western part. But my hometown is in the former GDR states. It's in Saxony. And I love Saxony!!! :D
Maybe one day I'll move to London. I've stayed there for 5 months during my educational training. And I fell in love with the city! :D
Kyle - September 8, 2006 01:58 AM (GMT)
yup, london is greeaaattttt... parliament is sooo nice.
i've never been to germany, but my grandparents loved it.. they took like a 2 month vacation all over europe [mainly germany, austria, that area] and they fell in love with it. the candy is SO GOOD!!!! I LOVE raffaello... mhmmmm.... Genuss zum abheben!! i have no clue what that is, but i am looking at the candy box as we speek lol.
Rafaello ist eine einzigartige komposition mit erlesenen zutaten: eine weisse mandel, eingebbet in feine milchcreme mit em besten aus entrahmter milch, unhullt nit knuspriger waffel und zartem kokos... sooo good!!!!
lol, well after i graduate, i either want to stay here in austin, or move to NYC.. the city is great. soo much to do, and it actually has a culture.. bagels, the accent, liberal, diverse.. it can't get any better then that loll.. not to mention they actually have seasons.. yup, either NYC or DC... i'm real political and DC is great.. maybe the suburbs.. arlington or alexandria.
and if i had to live elswhere besides america, i would say mntreal.. love the city, and the culture is great. my dad has a ton of family up in Quebec and in France, and the cultures are similar.. it's just awesome. if not montreal, i would say paris, or even vienna... vienna is really nice. i have a friend from there.. she says she prefers to live in america, but you know, everyone likes to opposite. americans love europe. europeans love america. i guess ppl just love a change loll. if not vienna, then maybe mexico city or monterrey... i used to hate mexico, but it is really such a great nation.. i just have to improve my spanish.. it sucks!! plus my spanish teach has spoken spanish for only 5 years, and french for 38.. but she teaches spanish. and a lot of french words and spanish words are sort of similar, and she ALWAYs gets them messed up.. she even got alto and arret mixed up lolll.... so i guess i'm taking french loll... oh well... she knows 4 languages, so i sympathize for her.. that has to be hard. plus her father was in the air force and she has lived in france, germany, everywhere. anyways.. point being.. mexico is nice loll
Leooo - September 12, 2006 01:08 PM (GMT)
@Eileen13: I'm from Germany too...Recklinghausen, do you know it? It's in North-Rhine Westfalia. I've never been to saxony

@Kyle: Do you know what you wrote there? You listed up all about Rafaello
Kyle - September 13, 2006 02:29 AM (GMT)

luvmorgan - September 13, 2006 02:38 AM (GMT)
Wow, it's so nice to see so many fellow CM fans from across the pond. I lived in the UK for 5 years and visited several other countries (including Germany & France) while we were there. I simply loved London.....it reminded of New York with all the hustle and bustle, people driving crazy (but on the wrong side *lol*) and the Broadway shows, just marvelous! I would love to go back and visit.
However, I'm a red-blooded American living in the state for Lovers (Virginia). :usa:
Kyle - September 13, 2006 02:49 AM (GMT)
virginia.. nice!! i looovvvee alexandria.. sooo nice.
